Wow. What an incredible story! I cried imagining the scenes, as I recently lost my 98 year old dad and was at his deathbed for his final days and hours. He was a devout Catholic but did not seem cognizant of much during those final days - not even to open his mouth to receive just a sliver of Communion. For those that would be so kind, please say a small prayer for him. Thank you.

@@lufhopespeacefully2037 Well, the "trinity" does appear in the Bible - there are mentions of God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit throughout - it just that the term "Trinity" had not been coined during the time of its writing. It isn't until almost the end of Jesus' life that he explained that all three are as one (he explains how he was, from the beginning) - so although the term was not used during his lifetime and thus written in scripture - we all know what the word means and the concept is biblical. So, it's just a word used to simplify a truth. No 'Catholic created' concept - if that is what you were wondering about. :-)

This story gives me soooo much hope for my son..... It's difficult to know how to ask for God's mercy when thinking of your adult non believing children. I think of saints of old that prayed death for their children on earth, if it meant they would be saved from mortal sin and from thee eternal suffering in hell. This story inspires a new prayer on my lips, not one of death, but one of life with mercy, grace, sacraments, and most importantly conversion. A softened heart returned to Christ!! We are blessed to have holy, humble priests wherever we find them. Thank you Fr. Cristino, for being one of them. I worked with people with severe lung disease doing breathing tests which is a very difficult thing for them to do. One day a patient was exhausted telling me how hard the struggle was. We were waiting a moment for the inhaler to work and I told her, "You know, we were made for so much more than this. This is not our destiny." She did not reply, but I hope that my comment reminded her or made her seek the Lord.

True story. I was working in an aged care facility where one of my patients was taken to hospital with major gastro bleeding and eventually died. He was was a big deal in freemasons (maybe grand master) and former head of the fire department in a major capitol city in Australia. Anyhow, his daughter came to collect his stuff and was telling another lady how he asked for a Catholic priest before he died. I do not know his fate , but it is good to know God always offers a way out of darkness.

I still pray for my Dad every day for his soul. He stopped practicing his CATHOLIC faith way before i was born and he never went back. And my mom never held a funeral for him. I talked to him over a week before he passed away in January 6th 2020 northern Ontario. He had full blown cancer but we didn't find out till the day he died. He suffered for a long time with it not going to the doctors. He didn't like doctors or hospitals. The last months were the worst. He was offered HOLY communion the last 4 days of his life and he refused our Lord. 😢. But at his celebration of life at the local legion he served for over 40 years my mom did invite the priest From our local parish and he did a liturgy for my dad. I thank God for this. I am worried niw about my mom she makes excuses to not go to church. Since April 2020 she moved from our small town in north Ontario she lived most of her life to Moose Jaw Saskatchewan where she still is. She's closer to us and her grandchildren in Calgary. But she barely prays and never attends Mass. She's 79. She just got a biopsy on Monday in Regina and waiting for the results. She doesn't seem worried. My sister Natalie stopped believing in God and heaven. She's in Moose Jaw too. Please pray for my family. My daughter Oceana is with bad CORRUPT toxic unsafe friends who led her astray from God. Occultism and ltbq cult. Trans stuff. I found out her dad who abused me he abused her too. 😢... she's 18 not speaking to me and is homeless on the streets and refuses to back home. I left her dad 4 years ago October 15th 2019. Lived in shelters till this year with my son Andrew. My daughter graduated from St Francis high school in may. And st Francis is her patron saint from her confirmation. 😢. My heart is in pain every day. It like death...loosing her. The past 4 years she has not been with us me and her brother. She has been self harming and suicidal. Laat attempts were just this past June. Please pray for us all. 🙏🏻🛐✝️💔

Also, remember that when you pray to our Lord for your father, all your prayers are going to God who is beyond time, so that means your prayers are beyond-out of time too!
