Feisty Kitten Rescue

New Rescue Alert! We were notified by our colony caretaker that there was a Solo Kitten at one of our colonies. We went out to rescue him, and he didn't appear to have any siblings or mother nearby. Little guy was hiding in a very secure area behind a fence, in a bush, that was backed up to a wash (a man made channel that allows rain water to flow). We went down into the wash and used a ladder to access the area in the bush that we suspected him to be. We waited, put out food, and lured him out with meows. He was most attracted to the sound of meowing at first (most likely he was looking for where he family might be), but then he got the scent of food 😍 He was so hungry that my mom was able to scoop him up. He put up a large fuss and even got in some bites 😅 Don't worry, neither him or Laurie were hurt. Stay tuned for updates. Full intro coming soon. I know, it hurts knowing they are so terrified and in full flight mode. Lil guy is a gorgeous young guy, and with a great experienced foster and other kitties for him to bond with he should still tame down.

I used to work for the ontario humane society up here in canada. I saw this alot to. Broke my heart evey time. But the good thing is that all of them were saved and adopted 🙂

I rember one kitten that we rescued had damage to his vocal cords. Never did find out if he was born that way or some douchebag asshole did that. But he was super sweet he did find a forever home 🙂🙂

My heart!!!!!!! I have two orangies…one I got as a kitten for 20 bucks, the other I trapped as a feral and it took us six whole months during a frigid Minnesota winter to finally save him. I have a very soft spot in my heart for these bad boys. Bless you. You’re gonna be just fine Mr. Man.

I've done a kitten rescue kiket his before, grabbing them with gloves right out of the bushes. It was the most ear curdling scream I've ever heard. This was tame in comparison. I felt very bad about it but I'm glad the kitty is doing okay now.
