I like your raccoon "relocation" method! When you first said RELOCATION I thought "NO WAY!" So many times I hear of people relocating trapped raccoons that have been causing problems. To "relocate" them only creates problems for people living near. YOUR method of "relocation" is the PROPER WAY TO TAKE CARE OF THAT PROBLEM! Good job!

Busy day, kudos to Hilarie for raccoon trapping, I always enjoy watching the daily chores and interactions with the animals I love the belly aching from the cows, reminds me of my younger days with Grandpa Love the field work, clipping and bailing. I JUST LOVE EVERYTHING. Thanks so much

In total agreement with you on clipping Pete. The dry spell zapped a lot of nutritional value out of the grass. I always enjoy watching Hilarie sort cattle. She's a natural! Also, while I thanked you for taking us along on R.P.R. '23, I failed to tip my cap to your crew who maintained the farm in your absence. Great job guys, and THANK YOU!!!

Glad to see you back. Sorry about the raccoon problem. My partner Rose’s 7 year old grandson is with us while his parents are out in Nebraska with another son. He really got into today’s video and your explanations of farming and livestock raising. I explained to him that everything he likes to eat comes from farming. He asked multiple questions about the pigs, chickens and Dexters. Hope you, Hillary and family have a great week.

I can smell them burgers from here!. and while you were Cauling, the cows I spotted Rusty, I remember when he was born and the week following how you tried to get him to come over and say Hi. (Relucktantly!) and ok on the Hay fields, we have one next to the house here that the farm up the road cuts for what ever they can get off it. but they don't take the whole field the top half is always soaking wet and most times the equipment gets stuck etc. so they just hay the bottom half. and its gone to seed long time ago actually. so if they do take it , it will go for beefer stock etc. fillin lunches. great to have to have you back Pete. as always a great video have a good day!. Pete, Since growing up with Holstein cattle on our dairy farm, the popularity of Dexter Cattle is well founded...the first thing I notice is that the size is so much easier to handle...we too did about 3-5 cows a year to freezer camp...the Dexter breed is good looking, easily bred and no drama calving for a high quality return for the farm...your bulls are calm and pen mates getting along so well...Cheers from Maine.

I caught 42 around my place 3 years bacl, 32 the next year, and 21 last year, I quit seeing tracks last year, and have not trapped this year. I use the same method of relocation that you do. It feeds the hungry vultures. I think my problem is the lake behind my property that as a stream that feeds into it. The subdivision around the lake has people that feed feral cats and that is the main attraction to racoons, catfood is very attractive odor wise to racoons. The neighbors did not haave a clue about the racoons and the cat food attraction.

Peter, I do the same as you with my small .25 acre yard for grass clippings. The grass is in it's second seeding because of the dry weather. and I don't want to save these clippings for mulch for the garden sooo,...I clip high to drop the seeding grass and then let the grass grow till I can have clippings for garden mulch or humus. Boy the cows were sure noisy on your video. Hunger is a great motivator. I enjoy watching you and Hilary a couple times a week.

Hey Pete. Instead of using a .22 there is a better way to handle it. No Mess, don’t cost a Penny! Ammunition is expensive these days.. If you take the Cage you capture it in and cover it with a Tarp/Wet Towel.. Turn on your Car or Tracker and hook up a hose to it and put it inside the Cage… Go have a cup of coffee and within 5-10 minutes it’s all done… No mess with no pain for the Animal. Also saves you a .22 for when you need it the most… 🤝
