🦒🙌❤️🥰!!! Just in time for Xtmas isn't it 🤩 Her blooming last year was exceptional and in spite of change of set up and having to adapt she still found it in her to bloom like this !! It's a beautiful and vigorous orchid and having her in that pot makes your life so much easier. She loves your care!!! I will be over the moon if I get mine larger and blooming as profusely as yours. I understand why you took stills of the flowers, they are the most difficult ones to film without the blurr😛. Thank you very much for the shout out and for organizing this CareCollab. Wish you a wonderful day vecina favorita 🤗🤩. Apparently there is a storm coming in with much rain ☔ and strong winds. It already started to rain here last evening but usually stormy weather/ rain falls on the northern part of Portugal, south of Galícia. We may get strong winds over here but only a few showers, just enough to collect some water. One day less on our maranthon to Spring 🏃!!! Happy sunny day to you and yours 🌟🌞🤩❤️

FFF 🙌🏼😍🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 hello meine liebe Freundin!! Just in time for Christmas, and very thankful that it actually bloomed... totally unexpected! The fact that it was alive and matured growths, I was happy to settle for that result, but when the first leave cracked open and exposed buds, I was just half way to the moon and back.... I am too fat to be over the moon 😂😂 supposedly it is going to rain tomorrow... I am not holding my breath! The amount of times that I have waited for rain this year, are ridiculous, and if it rains, I really cannot have orchids outside anyway. I hope that all will stay in your garden, amiga, that nothing gets damaged 😘😘 One day less indeed!! It cannot come soon enough 💆🏼♀️ thank YOU for your cernua video, getting the ball rolling on this CareCollab, vecina favorita!! Thank you! Have yourself a beautiful day ❤️now I am going to try and edit a video, or else there won't be a video tomorrow. I have to refilm another video, because the headache was so bad while filming, I thought I was making sense, and then upload to edit and it is a mess of commentary... wow! 🤯I may need to write things down to refilm today or this is not going to work 👎🏼👎🏼 much love to you, FFF!! ❤️🌸

Hi Ian 🤩💐last year on the mount, I am telling you... I was totally blown away, which made for a very nervous transition decision. Soooo glad that it worked out though, what a relief! I did the same thing with my first coccinea and it failed, which made the transition of my cernua even more of a gample, but here we are! 🙌🏼 thank you so much for watching, Ian! Really appreciate your time and support 🤗have a fabulous day 🌸

Raf, hola!! 🤩💐saludos desde la costa donde hace frio 😡 thank you for taking the time to watch this video, and for your comment. I am so incredibly amazed that she bloomed after the radical set up change. Very happy, and relieved! 20 different sophronitis? Wow!! If you have any questions, let me know if I can help out. How mature are they? What is your set up? Temperature ranges in winter, and light influx. I am not trying to impose on you or your orchids, but, if you want to run some details by me, let me know. Surely, 20.... there have got to blooms in there somewhere 👍🏼👍🏼Espero que todo va bien 😍🌸

Ohhh I remember it all because I watched the transition. You definitely chose the correct method and pot. 🥳And that color would highlight anywhere 🤩. Just imagine when the pot overflows??? Ohhhh 🤩💛🥳🌟🤩✨🥳!!! You are a genius Nina!! (meanwhile in Sri Lanka Anishka is verbally threatening her plants to bloom or thrown out!! 😤 well I did it worked and that’s how I changed my profile picture) Name change is because of the creepy crawlies hanging around in KZbin😅😅 and since I’ve been doing some short lazy videos. I love you Ninaaaaa!!! 💜💜💜

Soooo, it IS you!! Hi Annie 🥰😍💐 I have subscribed to your channel, and when I get rid of the headaches that limit my screen time, I will be watching your videos! Right now I have to focus what I can do on the screen, for editing and answering comments etc. Every time I look at the screen the headache gets worse... But, I have subscribed 😘😘 when the pot overflows, then we have done really well. The fact that she is blooming is a miracle and a blessing, I am so glad that she survived the transition. Oh.... YT creepy crawlies!! There is no effective pesticides against those, and I am sorry that you are experiencing them! I like Annie... 🥰 thank you so much for watching my video, and it is going to be so nice to see your orchids!! Let me get rid of the headaches first 😘😘much love to you, Annie! Have a beautiful day 🌸

@@NinjaOrchids I have the headaches too. Suppose to 🤓 but keep postponing. Omicron is found here too. And the lady has gone everywhere before finding out. There’s no lockdown because of Christmas 🎄 butttt, I stay inside and get stuff delivered. We work from home too. So I have too much screen time too. Hope you feel better ❤️🩹 I have no hope to make videos frequently because I don’t have much activity other than roots and the same vanda working on another spike. Think it’s because I cut the previous spike too soon. You are the first video I start my day but please Ninaaaa be careful of the 👀? 😘😘

Valarie 😍💐hi!! Oh yes... we don't have hummingbirds here, but I managed to see them while in the US, and they really are something special! My friend I believe I like yours in that pot better than when she was mounted. Look at you being rewarded with blooms, and you were concerned you may have set her back moving her set up! Great info about the hummingbirds.....and the rest of course, but did not know about the nectar and hummingbird connection. Have yourself a wonderful day, and thank you for working with Fernanda to get this collab together.

🌸🥷🏼Trish San 🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰❤️💐 guten morgen, schöne Frau! I had no idea at the point of coordinating this carecollab that I would have blooms, and then a few days later a leaf cracked open and bingo!! 🤩 I cannot tell you how relieved I am...for many many reasons. This is going great and the nodding orchid is not so much nodding, when in a pot as it is on a mount. I am loving the look and being able to see the blooms close up without having to crane my neck to get a better view 😅 I have to apologize that I have not watched your video yet. I have had massive headaches for the past 6 days, and they flare up really bad when I am sat in front of the screen, or looking at a device. I could listen to the videos, but I want to comment and watch as well. Give me a few hours, after this comment, I am going to lie down and close my eyes, and then have another spurt of watching and commenting on your videos. The hummingbird fun fact... something I cannot get over with this one. Just adds to the charm of the orchid, even more 🥰thank YOU so very much or watching, 🌸🥷🏼 for your patience and understanding! I really appreciate it so very much. I feel as though the ground is moving beneath me.... I really need to pace myself while at my desk and watching videos! I hope this goes away soon. 😘😘 wünsche dir einen super Tag!! ❤️🌸

HI Debbie 😍💐 she is a cutie!! However, this set up only worked for so long and now I have her back on a mount. What I would do differently if I had to pot her up again, is only use small lava rock, not akadama to retain more water. We are in the phase of getting her established on the mount again... I am hopeful that she will bloom beautifully for us in 12 months. Really appreciate that you took a moment to watch this video, thank you so much 🫶🏼 wishing you a wonderful start to the new week, after, hopefully a great weekend ❤️🌸

That is a nice blooming after such a radical change in the growing setup. If only coccinea had adapted so well. And so looking at that, it becomes obvious just how tiny the cernua aurea that I bought is. The leaves on it are as small as a fingernail. I really overpaid for that one (I really didn't expect to get it at all, considering what they had been going for, minimum bid won). I guess in 4 years it might be blooming size (in case I didn't mention it, the plant is TINY). And speaking of coccinea, how is your new one coming along? I have a yellow one on order from Ecuagenera and a hybrid (Epidendrum kockii x Soph coccinea) which I have no clue what that one will look like (Epi kockii is a strange, strange bloom).
@NinjaOrchids3 жыл бұрын
Don Miguel 🥰💐hola jefe! Surprise!!! 🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🙌🏼talk about surprise when I saw a leaf crack open with buds in it! I was so happy, I cannot tell you! Watched Fernanda's video when she showed her blooms a few weeks ago, and had settled to the fact that mine was still alive and because of her less exposed location these past months, I was not going to have any blooms, but.... yay!! 😅 incredibly nervous after my first coccinea failed totally, trying the same thing. 2.0 however is doing much better. Still growing it's first new growth in the set up, the roots are extending but they are not clean. They have little black blotches on the velamen, which is concerning, but, she is still alive, and developing the new growth ever so slowly 🤞🏼 she does not collapse! Fingernail size leaves, ... yes, that is TINY! 🌱🔍kockii... someone having a sense of humor there again? I had to google that one, never heard of it! THAT is a strange bloom, but it does have XXL characteristics of empidendrum blooms. Should be an exciting one to see bloom 👍🏼👍🏼 thank you so much for watching, Michael! Have yourself a fabulous day ❤️🌸

I'm wearing this video out! I'm nervous too. I have yet to try semi-hydro, but really want to try with a Cernua. I'm in Alaska and clearly we have very different weather, but I'm focusing on the low humidity aspect. I have two Sophronitis that are doing ok mounted, but they are fairly new to me. I do mist them 2-3 times a day. I'm looking for another good candidate to set up the semi-hydro with. Wish me luck!

Hi WanderingBob! 🤩💐 welcome! I have not seen you here before, so, a warm warm welcome and thank you so much for being here, I really appreciate it! 🙌🏼 you are welcome to wear this video out and if you would like to know how this orchid is doing, then... its doing great 👍🏼 currently in the process of growing her new growths for the coming blooming. Woohoo!! And the growths are doing the right thing, finding their way up towards the light as growths do. I expect a nicer presentation of the blooms, seeing as the growths are not as off as when they were on a mount. Except one...it is low in the pot, but peeking up toward the surface. I do wish you luck! I lost my coccinea when I moved it into a pot, even though it was growing roots, I got the timing totally wrong. My replacement coccinea was much weaker than what I had initially, and it is coming around and growing nicely in it's pot. If you ever have any questions, please ask away. here is a video as to how kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipKlqK18lqhgbbs should you ever need to get a second set of eyes 👍🏼 thank you so much for watching, and once again, welcome! 🌸

Hi Robert 🤩💐 they love mounts!! And I was so reluctant to change it to a pot because it was doing so well. Needs must, though and I cannot tell you the relief of seeing it having adapted so well! I had to google your pusilla, the name sounded familiar, but I could not connect the visual! I love that... the fan growth habit and then with those cute blooms, that is adorable! 😍 Nothing like having a miniature that blooms profusely and sometimes beats the big 'shouty' blooms by their longevity 👍🏼 thank you so much for watching, and ... 🤞🏼 that you get to enjoy the blooms of your cernua soon!! Hope you had a great day, Robert 🌸

Did you ever find out why cernua is called nodding orchid? Just found it: Cattleya Cernua is also called "The Nodding Sophronitis" because its blooms do not face up to sun. Not yours!
@NinjaOrchids Жыл бұрын
Hi 😍💐 actually, I did, yes! I must have forgotten our conversation about that... I'm sorry! 😬 Mine used to nod when the orchid was mounted, but I had her up high enough so that I could see them properly. I am sure that, as it continues to fill the pot the blooms will face down again at some point. For now, the edge of the pot helps keep the blooms looking somewhat upright 👍🏼 thank you so much for watching this video, WanderingBob. I hope that your Friday is a FriYAY!! 🫶🏼🥰🌸
