The driver that pulled in front of the car and stopped on the highway should of got a much bigger fine than was issued. 120 quid, nothing for that.

I think with the amount of drivers ready to jump out of their vehicles to commit acts of violence it’s time to come down extremely hard on them and taking away their licence for a prolonged stretch seems to me to be pretty good deterrent rather than the slap on the wrist they seem to be getting.

@Garrus Vakarian You would like to think that any county would put resources where they needed most. However our nation’s capital took action of every clip I sent them whereas Kent didn’t even view the video in 80%. I am cyclist I sent them clips where the driving was so bad that I was nearly injured. According to the ONS 73% of serious injuries happen to cyclists on rural roads. who do you think should be taking the greater action here?

0:50 That overtake should have been abandoned by any reasonable driver, but Saab was attempting murder. There's no reason, given the amount of electronics that's already present for satnav, that we shouldn't have remote-disable ignition systems keyed by valid driving licences, and self-reporting of simple driving offences like speeding, wrong side of keep left, crossing solid white lines at speed etc. Driving licences should expire in max 10 years unless re-tested to keep everyone's skills current/adequate.

The Saab driver being overtaken deliberately pulled out to outer limits of his lane in order to try and cause a head-on collision between the overtaking car and oncomining traffic. In my book he should be disqualified, despite the overtaking driver also being an idiot, but luckily in this case a cool headed idiot since a crash was avoided.

@@emd3290 The Saab wasn't the car making the choice for such a poor overtake. It was the car behind the Saab that was choosing to take the risk not the Saab. @@oldbloke5277 That's exactly why you get so many tossers doing the things they do nowadays. People just wimp out and crap turds, hit the brakes all the time, and constantly accommodate their bad behaviour. So people get into this habit of thinking they can do exactly as they want and its deemed as acceptable. Trouble is you move over and wimp out on bad behaviour these people see it as a weakness and you encourage them to keep doing it by moving over and saying "After you sir" allowing them a win on a plate until they have an accident with someone else. I've always adopted the 'Foot down and f**k off' attitude and it's always subdued them and changed their attitude. Evil triumphs when good men sit back and do nothing. Your theory sounds logical but it's too much of a wimps tactic. Your allowing them to bully. The only way a bully backed off at your school was when you punched them back.

When being overtaken 168 Being overtaken. If a driver is trying to overtake you, maintain a steady course and speed, slowing down if necessary to let the vehicle pass. Never obstruct drivers who wish to pass. Speeding up or driving unpredictably while someone is overtaking you is dangerous. Drop back to maintain a two-second gap if someone overtakes and pulls into the gap in front of you.

@@aswclassicsdorset1743 About 20 years ago, I made what turned out to be a bad choice, when trying to pass a car that was doing 45-50 in a 60 limit. You know the type; they'll keep going at 45 when they get to the 30 limit. Sadly, he chose to block my overtake which resulted in a head-on with another car. He didn't have his full-beams on, so distance vision was limited, and what I'd failed to realise was we were approaching a blind crest. I would've easily and safely been past him if he'd just kept it at 45-50. And after the crash... I watched as he drove off into the distance and away. I put a woman in hospital that night because of a poor decision, some impatience, and in part thanks to the attitude of another driver, who thought the best course of action would be to trap me on the wrong side of the road.
