Please help me, Im a 65 yr female this problem i went in to get that smoke test to fix exhaust prob to get tags, much was taken from my avalanche, I could not even drive off the lot behind the PO507 when I put my brakes on, it was like metal. I immediately stopped the car and that's when I even heard ticking oil was taken from my car because it had lost half of it on my manifold it lights up. I checked it before I got out. I went around my car and looked at the rotors and he had a lot of wood in his garage anyways the back two were switched out and most likely the shoes because it was metal on metal next, I looked at the brake fluid and then I dropped down to minimum for Max right under maximum is where I keep it. I don't have money. I'm very poor. I live on retirement as a female as 1200 a month not even that almost in California and that's expensive, so what I'm thinking is I had a big old 5 gallon thing or whatever you call it of the oil it's a special synthetic oil. I'm not even gonna put that in my car because my truck I could've switched that out on me his smoke test he did look like he might've blue. What do you call that vapor thing when he was underneath the gas tank part and waited for just a little just barely nothing came through really, and but I think it just turned out to be the gas cap need to be tightened on my light up. System told me that my new purge valve was switched out. I don't know what to do. I had taken advantage of $399 and he stole everything from me to make my car run smooth and it's dangerous right now and I don't know what to do and with the AutoZone people I went directly to them and there and I've been going to them in the test come out the same and it's just one thing and it has it probably was the harness from the purge valve, which I told him about and right after I left him it said the problem was still there with the purge valve and I had four pages more worth of problems going on in my engine behind him, including the PO507. I also have P0442P0455PO113P0443 and I've never had these problems before. It also says my battery voltage is low and it's a new battery. It is my oil level passed although it was low also and did not do anything. He told me he had to wait for parts to be delivered. He was the only one there I don't even know who he is. I just need to find a good mechanic I mean Huntington Beach, California, and I'm scared to death because I know my truck and this man took advantage of me and I know how to relieve myself know how to reset the engine light to make it turn off you just unplugged the damn battery I have to get my tags and 60 miles is not gonna do it to reset the monitor. It's more like 120 to 200. Yes I called him back and read his right. I'm very angry and I've been crying all day because I don't know how people can be so evilhelp me.

Hi bro i have same issue after scan I received a p0507 code , do i have to replace the throttle body or something else, because i used of cleaner inside the throttle body but nothing got changed… can you please recommend??

It will need to be troubleshooted to find the issue. The basic things to do are to clean the throttle body, check for a vacuum leak, and check the PCV valve.

A clogged CAT can cause issues. When it is clogged up, the engine won't have the power it once did.

I done fix everything on my car & it stills idle. I have a code (crank shaft)popping up but I already fix dat too like a 2 weeks ago but every-time, I put the car in drive or just in park while the car is sitting it would just idle then shut off .

I’m also wondering the same. I’m no mechanic by any means, but P0507 is the only code I have on my 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I don’t notice any symptoms, in fact - my idling is perfect. I have noticed slower shifting though when I’m accelerating, though. And my Eco mode doesn’t work… on the rare day my check engine light doesn’t illuminate, my Eco mode starts working.

Yes the computer tells your transmission is higher and it will kick shift

Yes, I need help. I can’t figure out what’s going on with my engine swap. I keep throwing a P0 507 code but the real issue maybe because I installed a 2008 where a 2006 used to be 2.5 and I have an extra wire connector that goes to my carbon collector but this new engine doesn’t have one and it’s running like shit and throwing PO 507 but I fixed it again and again

The throttle body likely needs what is called a Relearn procedure. It can vary on the engine how the Relearn is done. Often, the computer will relearn on its own when driving around. Also, check for any wires that may have become disconnected.

@@VqLyfe I bought the icon T8 scanner. It just needs to be reset with a scanner. Your throttle body is fine. Just needs a bit-directional scanner to reset it.

Air control valve, found on your 3 cylinder rogues ... your throttle body is under that charge air cooler. Your not the only nissan tech out there ... be humble.

Can altitude affect this? I just bought a supercharged mustang that was completely fine and then I brought it up to 7000ft and now it's idling high. Any suggestions?
