Good shooting gun. 243 is my favorite round. I load the Speer 75 grain varmint hollow point. If you try it you will love it. Thanks for sharing your time and videos with us.

Mornin CD!!! NICE!! I am buildin' a 6mm Rem hoping for delivery in April. Im targeting 105g but have a bunch of 75, 85g too. Had a couple 243's. Just always wanted a 6mm Rem. A 24" 1:8 3R .750 bbl gettin spun on.

I always shot 70 gr Btips until I tried the 87 vmax's. I like the little longer range. I have some 75 's too. My most accurate is the 90 gr Bergers hpbt. Can't get them any more. The 88's are pretty good. I have 60 left of the 90's and only use them on 400 yd plus shots. They shot an inch at 400 yards on a calm evening. That is out of a custom stocked all factory Savage action, trigger and a hand lapped factory savage barrel. Thanks for the video. Getting me the fever waiting for the beans to come up next month.

So made a couple batches up. 65vmax Col-2.599 40g of varget. Using ruger .243 22 in. bolt gun suppressed. At 50 yards 3inch low At 100 yards inch low. At 200 yards on money. Zero at 200 yards. Does those numbers sound right for that bullet? That's what im getting. Also what should i expect at 300 yards and 400 yards? Thats for all the info..

I've loaded .243 for a dozen years and for me I prefer 70gr smks with 44.2 of 760. That gave 3475 avg 10 shots. Imr 4451at 41.1 for 3099. The 4451 I use for 600+. 22" bull 1/9 twist. Love the .243 and my 25-06.. Aim small, miss small.

With the glass bedding. I'm already past the point of "I should have stopped while I was ahead." And One-Shot is some high dollar stuff. I found this: CRC 3084 Dry Moly Lube, (Net Weight: 11 oz.) 16 oz Aerosol Can, Dark Gray - $10.81- Amazon I'll let you know how it does.

I ordered the Boyd's A17 nutmeg stock on sale at OpticsPlanet for $158.00 (166.00 w/tax delivered). I'll figure out how to post some pictures after my bedding escapades. I gotta admit, epoxy is fun stuff. And having Boyd's to fall back on, in case I have to burn mine off the barrel.
@cavedweller19592 жыл бұрын
Hope your going to start off on the right foot & use e-pox made for the job and not something made for radiator leaks. And whatever you use for release agent, give it a dry run on something inexpensive.

@@cavedweller1959 Thanks CD. I'm used to the Marine Tex now. But I'll do the soup can test with the One Shot. I just like the charcoal gray color. The shoe polish as a release agent leaves prints. That's really my only issue.
