Great vid, 34/36 psi working well on SportSmarts here....especially with their stiffer sidewalls..

Hi there, I am from Japan and I am riding the same bike like you - my model is 2018 - I watched ur clip - suspension adjustment. I agreed with you that the suspension is not really changed for some reason ! it might changed and felt a little bit better but that that much! I think the tires will make a different- I am using Michelin Power 2ct- the bike is handling better on the road- cornering is more stable! but Bridgestone RS-10 is the most fun for corner riding. I love your bike`s sound - so firm and nice! Thank you for sharing nice clips! ride safe and have fun!

Thank you for your comments and your input. I am now running Pirelli Angel GT2 and it has transformed the bike. So stable in the corners now. Yes the Termi can does sound nice. Stay Safe 👍

Thank you for the two videos on suspension adjustment and effect. The chart at 3:10 was a great starting point. There are always tradeoffs. My stock bike was set at the line where rear pre-load equals 3 (rider weight = 154 lbs.). When I initially bought the bike I thought there was a lot of fork dive on braking. I changed the settings to the line where the rear pre-load is 7 (rider weight = 198 lbs.). I am a bit over 200 lbs., so this was still a bit conservative of a change. The fork dive is significantly less on braking, as you would expect with increased front pre-load and compression damping. There is even a bit less centrifugal fork dive on cornering. Not that I really noticed it much even with the default settings. Matching the rebound damping to the compression damping keeps it a linear system. Since it was on the final exam, the University of California forced me to study the step response of spring-mass-damper systems (underdamped, critically damped, overdamped). Many systems are tuned with a bit of underdamping to give fast response. I think that is about where I am now. It is amazing how fast I adjusted to the new normal. Thanks again for taking the time to make these excellent videos and sharing your knowledge and experience.

Thats a great insight into your adjustments and the impact of the changes. Amazing what a rear shock can produce if set correctly. Thanks for your kind comments and glad to have helped..👍

Is there a specific reason why you set pressure of the back tire to 36PSI? (I have it set to 2.9 BAR which is 42 PSI) Also, are you 85 KG fully geared up? Or 'dry' weight? :) Thanks for the video, I am also going to play with the suspension settings!

I'm 89 all geared up but opted for the slightly lighter setting as I'm a fat Barsteward and want to lose a couple of pounds. I had been advised by another member the dunlops need to be softer due to the compound. Good luck with the adjustments. 👍
