The Fifth Estate

6 жыл бұрын

Dellen Millard was a rich kid who stood to inherit millions from his father's aviation business. But he was into self gratification - the kind that came from throwing wild parties and engaging in petty crimes like robbery and drug-dealing. And into his life walked Laura Babcock, an impressionable young woman and an aspiring actress. The deeper she got drawn into Millard's web, the more dangerous it became. In the summer of 2012, Laura Babcock disappeared, never to be seen again. Last month Millard was convicted of killing her, just as he had been previously of murdering a young man named Tim Bosma...This is the story of the murderous ways of Dellen Millard.

So, the Police are liable for the death of Tim Bosma. They knew Mallard was a murderer but decided not to act. They have blood on their hands by deciding not to act and arrest this man.

feigna 2711 thank you for saying that! This is the reason a lot of women don’t seek help when they are having issues. I wonder why it is that nobody ever nails the cops for the fact that 'she's high risk' doesn't translate to 'start looking NOW'.. doesn't 'high risk' MEAN likely to be the victim of foul play? They seem to interpret it as 'oh well, nobody cares'.
@johnnydtractive
@johnnydtractive 6 жыл бұрын
I'd like to give your comment about a thousand thumbs up. This is part of the problem behind Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls. If they are living 'high risk' lives, the cops treat them as throw-away, less than human. It's rampant in Canadian police & RCMP. So the women most likely to be hurt are the ones the cops are doing the least to protect & help.

I think this is a great protocol for more area police to implement.

This is the second Canadian crime video I’ve watched in a row, both random choices, but both times I’m absolutely disgusted with the police. Canada has the wrong sort working in the force, both times further deaths could’ve been prevented totally but weren’t because of the selfish lazy attitude and lack of action of the police. This is why there are so many vigilante groups, not just for finding paedophiles and murderers, but for having to do this sort of thing to as the boyfriend did, too. Thank heavens.

Tim Bosma's wife said "It was just a truck." And that really resonnates with me. My Mum lost a friend in the 90s. She was living at his family's lodge at the time. He was just 21. Blonde, blue eyed, very handsome, extremely nice, fresh faced young man. Two men pretended to want to buy a second hand car from him and lured him into the forest. They shot and killed him for a piece of metal worth 50-250 bucks. It just kept raining over the days when his family and friends were searching for him. Open casket when he was finally found. His body was bloated beyond recognision from the water. His killers are most likely never going to be found. He had never got to experience having a girlfriend, getting married, and having kids of his own. My Mum was just as young when this happened, she went on to have a loving family while he was forever frozen in memory at the age of 21.

I feel the same way Bruh, there's just to much evil in the world and I don't feel safe anywhere, sometimes not even in my own home.

I've heard of so many cases where someone kills 3-5 people before caught. Then a cop, detective, family or friends has been telling others , but no one listened.

So, no cops are held accountable. No one is fired, disciplined, nothing. The pathetic Toronto police are a disgrace to Canada. We're getting to the point where no one will trust the cops, there's no reason to.

@@joshuamarcon5928 No one is blaming everything on the cops, just the fact that Tim was murdered because the police didn't do their police work because they decided Laura's life wasn't worth their time and because of that decision they let the people that murdered her walk free to kill again. And you're blaming Tim for wanting to sell his truck? he's a guy that lives in a small, safe Canadian town do you really think he thought he was at risk of being murdered? like his wife said worst case to them was the truck getting stolen, nice victim blaming tho. Your comment didn't offend me but it was hella stupid.

I'm sure the cops were disgraced in the police community. That's sometimes worse than formal charges.

I guess money talks. The police work felt like they were just being forced to do their work.

If you look at some of the court evidence: ‘what the jury saw’ it was as if the two of them Dellen and Mark were sharing her. They were jealous of her because Laura was a free spirit and they weren’t.
