I’m 32 and I never heard of Nanalan’ until the memes. Now I have to watch every clip I come across. It really is nurturing for anyone’s inner-child, and I just know kid-me would have loved it. I think that’s who’s watching the clips. Not me, but younger me.

I remember Nanalan’ when it was 3-5 minute shorts between TV shows on YTV. It wasn’t popular back then (compared to things like Big Comfy Couch or Arthur)…but to see this resurgence…to the extent that it has gone viral…is so heartwarming. Never would have imagined it.

I just love how Canadian kids at the time just sort of took Nanalan for granted as the weird little break in between Sailor Moon and Mona the Vampire, but then the Americans found it YEARS later and lost their minds over it.

Nanalan is something special because it’s absolutely wholesome, in a world that can be very cold and hard, Nanalan reminds us of our childhood like sense of wonder and optimism, it’s too pure for this world, and that’s why it’s so great.

I was in my teens when Nanalan was on the air. My friends at school and I still sang the theme song knowing full well it was a kids show. When I started seeing Nanalan on TikTok the first thing I did was send the vids to friends who remember the show. ❤️ Nanalan!

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I have showed this show to my kids! They love Mona and Nana and even Russell. For someone that has a high admiration for Canadian Children's TV because it was such a HUGE part of my childhood, this makes me extremely excited to see the popularity of this show coming back! Some may think this is silly, but I watched this show as a teenager. I even caught my dad watching it at times. Nanalan has no age and it is universal. It represents a grandmother that has a deep gentle love, kindness and patience for her granddaughter that is learning and devleoping into a little person. I know there are episodes here on KZbin, but if any show needed to be brought back, it's this one ❤

Nanalan' is to children shows what The Wire is to TV shows, simply THE best! I discovered Nanalan' in 2004 when my son was 9 months old and instantly fell in love with it. I was devastated when it was no longer in the CBC Kids line up. As others have said, NO other show deserves this recognition!!

this was my childhood show. it would come out on pbs kids (USA) for a bit and was instantly hooked as it reminded me so much of my grandma and i. i’m so grateful i got to show her the “we all love our nana” song before she passed. nanalan trending has made me look back on the good memories i had with her and i like to think of it as a sign of her still by my side since no one knows this show where i’m from! i hope it comes back on television for a new generation to discover (and the older one to reconnect)

I am more than happy that this amazing show is getting the love it deserves! these same puppeteers worked on other shows as well (Big & Small is my favorite besides Nanalan). I'm especially happy that they understand and realize how many adult fans watch this show for comfort, especially if they didn't watch it as a kid. I wish more kids shows were aware of their adult fans, as a 21 year old who loves kids shows. I prefer Nanalan and Big & Small over shows like Adventure Time and Rick & Morty. I can't stand most "adult" cartoons and I'm just more comfortable with watching kids shows.
