At time of this writing, you can purchase a CBOX MVS system from AliExpress between $340 - $400. Prices depend on whether you want the CBOX by itself, with jamma supergun (to connect external jamma boards), or including a 161 to 1 game cart. As for the OSSC, I bought mine from Videogameperfection.com for $150 shipped. There are some cheaper alternatives out there to upscale the image, so technically, you don't need the OSSC unless you really want the best possible picture image. I will try making a video tutorial, provide cable alternatives, and explain some of the functions in more detail :)

@Papi Chilo, another great alternative is getting the Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro. You can add more games and you'd be spending about $129 shipped. It connects via hdmi and you can modify the joystic and buttons. Hoping to make that video soon on how to hook up wires, ossc, etc. I will also film a CBOX and NG Arcade Stick Pro side by side graphic, gameplay, and image option comparison.

@Davis Alejandro Agudelo Zambrano, infortunadamente por el hecho en que no tengo un CRT para probar, no tengo mucha información que compartir por el momento. Me imagino que el cable de componente trabaje para enseñar la imagen, pero no se si hubiera malas señales o artefactos en la pantalla. Disculpe por no poder responder con más convicción en el tema 😞

I have a question how do I remap my controller pads on the CBOX itself not the pandora box because I seem to have done it by accident and do not know how to fix it

I somehow managed to remap it again to the correct controls but I cannot figure what combination does it and I don't really want to mess with it what I do know is that the jamma edge connection in inputs will start flashing indicating what input you're about to set and you just press the corresponding button you want it to be

I never tried to remap myself so I may just try finding more info out there before trying myself :). I'm glad you were able to remap the buttons again. Nothing more frustrating than changing something and not being able to figure out how to change back :(

What happens If you don't turn the voltage knob? I ask because I want to have that set up inside a cabinet, and wire the jamma to mvs selector to a button on the control panel. I want to avoid opening the thing to flip anything, just be able to switch between mvs to Pandora without hassle

The only issue I ran with the volt selector at 5.15v vs the 5.30 running the PB6 was the audio would fluctuate in and out. The reason may be that the PB6 needs the higher voltage to run better. Another question in my mind is I wonder if the Volt knob only applies to the supergun hence only matters when you have the jamma option selected on the cbox...but, I will test it some more and let you know!

@@johnnyulate8218 so it seems that the volt switch wheel has nothing to do with the MVS cart. It only aplies to the jamma when you are running a pcb or in this case a PB. I tried the MVS on the 5.15v, 5.30v and all in between and does not affect gamelan or sound at all. I also tried the PB6 on the 5.15v and didn't get any issues with the audio this time. I did reach out to the manufacturer of the CBOX to confirm this, so I will report soon.

@@johnnygames1380 so I will be easier to just let the knob on 5.30v and wire the select button! Great news. My plan is to run a MVS Multicart on the slot and a Pandora's box DX arcade version (when it comes out) on the jamma adapter outputting video thru S-video connection into a CRT Sony Trinitron, that way its not only standard definition but the newer Pandora's boxes apparently don't have aspect ratio selection. The S-video output will "reverse stretch" the video to its original 4:3, I guess 🤔 perfect for my cabinet.

I suggest once you receive the PBDX, play around with the volt setting as that new PBDX may require the volt to be lower than the 5.30V. But seems that once you set to your preference, it can stay that way without affecting the MVS slot 😀

My controllers does not work on jamma mode .That pcb goes into the Pandora might be damaged . Those red led lights on the pcb shows your controller’s button press and joystick clicks . Mine is all bad . Any idea how to fix ?

Hi, are you using an usb controller, or are you using the Neo Geo controller?

@probbitaly bostrom, unfortunately, I have not tried a SCART cable connected through the OSSC in fear of damaging the cbox or the OSSC. I read online that some scart cables may not have resistors necessary to regulate the power coming into an ossc. I have mines connected to component and I have to say, it looks pretty good.
