@@SebSar-ef4zj Wow its been four years. Well. I got the bike and it was fine. Competent. Speedy enough for surface streets. But the cognitive and stress load of riding in urban traffic was a little overbearing. Never felt particularly safe even following proper protocols as outlined in the rider course. So, sold it at the end of season one and didn't bother getting another bike. I'm sure it is doing fine with the new owner.

As a 125 it has no faults. I had 2007 model did 76.000km loved it.. Spain. Great bike... 10cv more would have been sweet.

i just bought a 2014 cbr 125 .great video . i was stuck wanted a yzf r125 but the engines top end explode and are not reliable may as well get a two stroke aprillia . so i got the cbr 125 theres a reason lawn mowers arent made by yamaha as there just blow up.

at the end of the summer I bought a 2012 cbr250r black and grey....I could have bought anything, but gas price, insurance, the sexy look , price and shape did it for me....3000 kilometers on it......just got my licence today....going to call the insurance place Monday and go register the bike...and first nice day we get I'm out on it

Nice video man, I swear most bike vloggers seem to be from up north so as a local to the portishead area its really weird so see familiar roads in a vlog. I'm running a R125 at the moment as just something for the weekends and I think as car driver for the most part myself the engine size doesn't really matter when you just want a quick weekend blast, though I also want a larger bike. I've still got three years until I can direct access into A class bikes, kinda want to go insane and get a 1L supersports but probably not the smartest idea.

Hey man that's awesome! I didn't think there would be anyone near me that would see one of these videos. We should definitely go for a ride at some point! I share the same circumstances as you, drive for the most part but ride on the weekends and I don't tend to mind the smaller engine either. I have just started leaving the van at work and riding to and from work instead, I same about 30 minutes on the journey which is awesome enough, the ride is a bonus [:

I bought a 05 CBR125R on friday.. I have to say it is 10x better than my Aprilia RS125 i had previously! The power on the CBR is enough to have fun with, so I wouldnt list that as a bad point, other than that, great video!

im on a 125 but its a 12 plate lexmoto, Only has 9. something bhp hits 60 (on the dail not sure how accurate it is tho). starting to get a bit fed up with the repairs and reliabilty tbh so im looking to upgrade to a cbr. 2 questions 1 how ia the cbr as an everyday comuter (is it practicle) and 2 whats it like on back roads (not main roads with road markings) thats if you have or go on back roads

i find the bigest problem with the CBR125 is the size, its TINY and if you over 5'10 like i am then it kills your back on long journeys

Currently I own a Cruiser which does not suit my build and long legs. I've sat on the YZF and didn't like the lean forward but the CBR seems perfect for me, so much so I may be purchasing a 62 plate White, Red & Blue HRC tomorrow if all is well. I'm not the usual 125 rider as I'm nearly 30 but I plan to ride for around a year and go for my DAS once I feel ready for it. I commute daily on 60-70mph roads and this CBR seems like it could handle that well enough. Great video, new sub here pal

Trying to decide what bike I should buy.. I decided to get my motorcycle license to save money on insurance, fuel and parking. My car insurance and gas are ridiculously expensive..so I'm taking the car off the road This bike will be my only transportation I'd mostly be riding in city traffic, but the bike would have to be able to handle highways I'm not a big dude, 5'10 135lbs These 125cc bikes seem like a good fit, or should I be looking at something larger? Will a 125cc be fine on a highway? I'm not familiar with what option are out there , so I'd definitely appreciate any suggestions / advice from you guys

Darryl Bosson it depends where you live. When i first bought the bike it was £300 in east london. 10 years on the same bike is £800 as its easliy stolen or crashed. Mine was the 2005 model the newer one might be cheaper

No. I have ridden both and i cant really feel a difference.

Tonnin Turbo The YZF has 1 brake horse power more than the CBR125. So technically there there isn't really much of a difference at all.

I did a review on both bikes and no not much difference at all YZF is a bit faster on the top end but i found the cbr more comfortable to ride. Yzf R125 costs more and is dearer on the insurance.

Nah, 10mm wider and 10% less side wall is the absolute maximum for the first and second gen of these bikes

Hey man, personally I would recommend the CBR 125R as it inspires confidence. In my opinion all 125's are so close in performance it really makes little difference so why not purchase the one that will inspire confidence and teach you to ride

Eventhough the R125 has more power, the CBR125R beats it top speed and acceleration (The latter is more dependant on the riders skill though)

I think the thing is the r125 is bigger which makes the advantage null. Also to get the most out of r125 you need to rev to 10.5k which kids fail to do these days. However based on weight the CBR is faster in my experience. I just want my Yamaha R1, it kills me.
