That isn't static, it's over driven (too loud) an input to the recorder and possibly poor tuning of the radio.

The fuzzy static was sort of annoying but abt 3:30-3:45 the audio clears right up. A very good listen. Evie Juster is quite good in The Fall of Gentryville.....another very good listen.

The first 3 1/2 minutes are full of static but the show clears up and has very good sound quality although periodic brief moments of static. An excellent episode with the excellent acting of Mandel Kramer a.k.a. The last Johnny dollar. Enjoy 30 June 2020 Fresno California

The static is not nearly as annoying as Evie Justers voice, she goes from sounding like a 6 year old one minute to sounding like an 80 year old man the next, creepy!

First world problem static on the internet during an old time radio show🙄 . Static was when I was a kid in my grandparents basement with an AM transistor radio listening to these programs.
