That it mentions "couples" in the first place though also saying the "individuals" are blessed and not the "union" is misleading in itself. That the document goes on to seemingly legitimize unions outside of marriage informally is quite an issue.

Pope Francis is not a bad pope because he teaches falsehood. He does not. He is a bad pope because he is SO naive that every word he says is open to misinterpretation. What he said is basically nothing. Individual sinners can be blessed. But he chose the most contentious issue there is and issued a poorly worded statement that was even more poorly translated. It is a shame that a major news agency Fails to answer a question on blessings correctly. A shame that information is available to help formulate a more precise question but the journalist or media agency must deform the question and be gently rebuked by the pope for the incorrect question. All media has incorrectly reported on the blessing and it may be purposeful or deceitful , diabolical or out of severe ignorance.

Doesnt the congregation after mass receive a final blessing from the priest even those who were unable to go to confession? This is not rocket science. Some blessings are given for approval others are given for helping. Sinners who are still in darkness and need the grace of openness and repentance can ask the priest for blessing and prayer to help them eventually come to faith.

Read Romans chapter 1. Paul makes it quite clear that the acts of LGBTQ+ are sin in the eyes of God. There's an old adage for the Church: "Love the sinner, hate the sin." God won't allow those who live in sin into his presence. Simply read the book of Hebrews for that piece of knowledge/information. Christ did not approve of sinful actions either. Read the story about the pool of Bethesda. If you want to enter heaven when you die, you have to accept Christ's work of saving grace and then eliminate sinful acts and behaviors from your life. The Holy Spirit will act as a powerful guide in this manner. Those who live a LGBTQ+ lifestyle are sinners by their own sinful choices and will not enter heaven without changing. If someone is LGBTQ+ and enters the church curious about Christ and his saving power, I welcome them to enter but know that acceptance of Christ will prove to be transformational. The old is gone, the new has come. In other words, you will leave LGBTQ+ by choice because Christ is greater. The is no such thing as a LGBTQ+ marriage that God finds acceptable.
