Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan reunite in the new movie "Unfrosted," directed by Seinfeld. The film humorously depicts the 1963 race between cereal giants Kellogg's and Post to invent the first breakfast pastry, featuring Seinfeld as a fictional Kellogg's executive and Gaffigan as the CEO.

I used to take care of the material handling equipment at Kelloggs. There was an issue with a pipe that carried chocolate and there was a literal river of chocolate that I had to step over. Not sure why I'm telling this story, but it sure seems like it would be a great part in a movie.

Unfrosted originally was not about PopTarts at all. It was focused on the real world war which occurred when Frosted Flakes were stripped bare of their sugar coating and went into battle with Corn Flakes. I recall reading in the Times that there were many casualties and tiny fragments of cereal were strewn all over the cereal bowl, yet there was no clear winner. It was an absolute massacre and the fight continues through this day with occasional skirmishes arising on the previously calm waters of soy or skim milk.

My favorite standup bit about Pop Tarts is from Paula Poundstone. She talks about the image of the tarts on the box, a cross-section where you can see “all the tasty goodness.” Not to mention the instructions on the box for preparation of the tarts for eating, which seem pretty unnecessary.

Seems like yesterday he was young and starting his own show. A show whose situations disappear in the age of cell phones. Most of it is waiting for someone to show up, or trying to get someplace on time. Kids watch it thinking " why doesn't he just call her cell phone"

Sounds like a great film. Love Jim, and Jerry, and JS always gives jobs to other comics. The only time I had Pop-Tarts as a kid was when we went to Boy Scout camp and went to the 'trading post'. Same with Frosted Flakes. My mom was not a fan of sugary cereals.

That dope interviewer with the clown tie basically called Gaffigan old right at the end of the interview. The other interviewer was wagging his leg like he was about to open Christmas presents. What happen to professionalism on TV ?? Gayle is always good. She is very centered and professional. The other two seem like too happy and the other scared to be there by almost frowning when anyone looks at him in fear. Oh my God. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 On the other hand, Seinfeld and Gaffigan are completely relaxed and calm. That's what hosts should act like.

What’s the deal… with replacing the C with a K, on Cereal boxes. Krave, Cocoa Krisspess… We’re setting up our children to be delinquients. Of the Ks in Kwestion, Special K is the only one that belongs, But it’s the healthy cereal no kid wants. When dad is reading the paper in the morning, The Kids are reading the boxes. They think Misspelling is Kool, it’s Krisp, it’s ok… So when mom ask why their child got a C on the report card, They’ll listen in horror as their child says “I thought that was a K.”
