He's suggesting the complete reliance on technology for payment, and the elimination of actual currency would be a serious problem if the systems that support digital payments fail. People love to laugh this off as hyperbolic conjecture, an over-the-top suggestion, yet these things have happened in our past. Two world wars in the past century, countless smaller yet equally as deadly regional wars. The next war will be waged, at least in part, technologically with the goal of taking down critical systems and infrastructure to disrupt the enemy as much as possible - to get the enemy's citizens to pressure their government to capitulate. This is why people that prepare for short and long term disasters/emergencies keep cash and other physical goods/commodities on hand just in case. The lemmings running around with a bricked, useless cell phone in such a scenario are in deep doo doo to put it mildly.

They went straight from cash to mobile phone payment, skipping the step in between. it only took three years 7. you simply scan a QR code to pay. you can pay at farmers market, a musician on the street or even a homeless person 8. Everyone uses it, from the largest cities, the fanciest hotels to the most humble streetside shacks 9. payments in the US are mainly made by cash or credit cards which means that china is much ahead of the US, which may have a little bit of caching up to do. 10. because they can't achieve anything without their smartphones

But it is hard to use it in small shop. If you're a shop owner and want to accept NFC payment in your shop. All you have to do is setup an account by your phone. Find your own QR Code and print it out. Stick it somewhere near the cashier. Then people who buy things from you will just scan it to pay. You can even save the money to maintain the equipment.

Everyone in the cities takes virtually both without hesitation. If it is spendable, they take it. It is a solid capitalistic society. They scan your QR or you scan theirs. Yeah charging a mobile phone rly isn't a big issue here if you only hang out in the city. And if you plan to go to rural parts of China, a travel battery seems to be a must-have.

We didn't skip credits card!!!!!!!!!. I have been using credit cards for 15 years. And the mobile payment account is usually tethered with your credit or debit card account. That means I am still using my credit card while paying with phone.

Why does using mobile for payment considered more superior? This video is essential advocating on switching payment modes, and that all other methods of payment are inferior... talking about how the US are lagging behind when ultimately it doesn't matter either way; credit cards and mobile payment, even cash, are nothing more than mere different methods of paying.

I'd argue that it's also centralized and prone to massive breakdown and hacking. Whereas cash is naturally decentralized thus more versatile.

It Talks About Cashless Society In The Bible, Soon You Wont Be Able To Buy Or Sell Anything Without The COVID19 Vaccine Which Has Microchip or Satan's Number 666 Revelation 13:17 - And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. I'm a fan of using cash, but the Chinese society just force you to use this kind of payment. It's always so difficult for the restaurants to get u bk ur change. Numerous times where I've been waiting for my change to get bk more than 15mins. Taxi often don't hv enough change. Also it's a nightmare for them to give u changes if u pay a 100 note in most of the shops.

@Nondescript you need to understand the cost of using the money apps. It's on marketing. And these transactions are recorded so they help to eradicate corruption. If we rejected convince we would still do barter trade.

China isn't cashless. I was there a few months ago and paid cash for many things. The government wants cash to be accepted also. The Peoples Bank Of China said cash should be accepted alongside the debit card at all business outlets, with the exception of e-commerce and unstaffed stores. Businesses have to make necessary adjustments to avoid being investigated for breaches by the authorities. They aren't getting rid of the RMB.

Well you are right, but it's also true that you can live there and never use cash at all. It's a option, but it's so convenient most Chinese people these days, especially young people, never use cash at all.
