It’s so important to have the support and empathy from men in this. The fact he was able to share the story of either running into a bear or a man….says he is paying attention. It's a relief to see discussion of a horror in our culture,and throughout the world rarely discussed, but often repeated in DV, incest and rape. Until women and children are valued as much as the male gender is in all societies, violence towards women by males is the true disease for humankind.
