"An American Marriage" author talks writing, the argument that inspired her story

I understand why Oprah loved this book. I am glad that I got introduced to Tayari through the pages of An American Marriage. Writing is a calling, and this book made me wonder if I had neglected my calling for writing. I still have a long way to go but I want to learn how to write and tell stories. I'm so grateful for Tayari and this book. I didn't know whether I should hate any of the characters because I routed for a happy ending for all of them. Andre deserved to loved buy Roy had been through so much. Let's all thank God for Davina and her thing with Roy, whether it was "something or nothing". It was a sad story but all parties got a good chance at love. Well done for such a great ending Tayari.

Oh.. this is about "An American Marriage" the novel, not the play by the same name that Stewie wrote in Family Guy back in an episode entitled "Brian's Play" and that aired back at the start of 2013. gr8 b8 title m8 I rate 8/8, would click video and be disappointed again.
