A couple in Buffalo, New York, were gifted a Super Bowl getaway for saving a man's life in a blizzard. David Begnaud reports.

I think the husband is a good guy for actually saying that he's not (or atleast was not) the type to help strangers and just brush it off. The fact he was so open about that says allot about a man's character. He humbled himself. Something not very many men are capable of. I hope he has the time of his life at the Superbowl! This story should be in your 2023 highlight rail at the end of the year. That man is alive because that young woman has a big heart. I wish she was my neighbor. Her love life has changed the world. Tears began to fall when I heard his fingers was amputated 😢 she tried soooo hard and called for help sooo loud to prevent. Saddens my heart but her and her husbands act of kindness saved his life great humanity for them and their kids, I remember when it first aired her kids were extremely worried about him as well… All Praises To The Most High 🙌🏽

This couple is spiritually on another level, far different from most of us. It kind of hurts at the same time because I question my own empathy/humanity and, not saying I wouldn't have tried to do the same thing, but these present times have changed me, I'm jaded and I don't know if I feel the same way about humanity that they do, with all of the evil energy that manifest in this world, continuously. It's not a good feeling, so I am humbled by this couple.

This is a bittersweet story. I was glad that they were there to help but I am sad that he lost his fingers. One more thing, in the end, when they were back in the studio, the lady said it was a small gesture but I think it was a big gesture. They brought a total stranger into their home and took care of him for days. This is America and we all see terrible headlines daily. They took a huge chance. I am glad they were able to help him. Oh my gosh that poor man would have died if they didn’t go outside. I’m glad her boyfriend was affected and I pray many more are as well. They were right when they said medical emergency. Frostbite doesn’t spread but it can become infected and that can spread. Thank you for saving another human’s life! We never know what a small act of kindness will do. Although I would call that a huge act of kindness! Bless you both!!

Awe she is just a shinning star, her personality and her heart is just not something you find in a whole lotta ppl these days..and to hear her say how she cried hearing he lost his fingers BC she trieD so hard to help them not have to lose them , that shows just how awesome a person she is..if the world could get back where we helped out neighbors and not have to worry about getting scammed or hurt to help someone . It saddens me that you have to have that fear of it bEing a scam or getting hurt or killed When you wanna help someone that needs help. Congrats to this couple and thank you for everything you've done for this gentleman. I lived in NYC for many yrs and I know how rare it is for ppl to step in and help somebody else in the street cause you never know what's gonna happen next. Maybe it was a trick from somebody to mug you or something so the same environment, the street teaches you to mind your own business regardless of what you see out there. On my way to work in midtown Manhattan one morning I saw this man laying on the sidewalk and ppl around him would look but not do anything. Most likely bc they didn't know what to do. The man was having a seizure so I just grabbed him and put him on his side as opposed to laying on his back and put something (a comb if I'm not mistaken) in between his teeth so he wouldn't bite his tongue off as sometimes happens. Somebody called an ambulance and I kept walking to my job. I get seizures too if I don't take my medication so that's how I knew what was happening. Regards to David from Puerto Rico. We love him down here for among other things everything he did after hurricane María devastated the island in 2017. Be blessed always David.
