Liar. Very few landlines still use the old copper wires. Most landlines are VoIP. Meaning no power, no internet, no landline. If your landline is bundled with internet or cable, odds are good that your phones used VoIP. During Snowmageddon 2021 in Texas, we had no power, no internet, no landlines. HOWEVER, if you had a smartphone with enough of a charge, and attempted to use it at odd times at night, like 2 in the morning, what little service you had, you could actually use, because most people were asleep.

The phone works for more than 30 hours in a power failure. So does the Internet as long as your laptop has a charge. Great idea! Keep the dumb phone on you and the smartphone in your car or backpack if you commute via public transit.

I still have my old Samsung N400, which was a great phone for its time. I also still have my Motorola Droid x in great condition but unfortunately they cannot connect to today's tech, not even wifi lol. Miss those days.

I've been saying it all along as a five year Samsung Z fold owner, that folding phones are actually horizontal flip phones with more screen real estate than regular cell devices that replaced carrying around a Ipads. Nothing new to see here people.

Yes, I've considering this for years.

I’ve owned 3 basic phones from Verizon before I switched to Straight Talk 10 years ago and I still remember my very first phone which was a LG VX5400 flip phone. I’m not into these new age smartphone flip phones at all which are more vulnerable in the middle with folding glass. If I were to get any flip phones I’d take the old school style any day

I'd love a simple phone, but unfortunately most if not all of them are very low quality.

Am happy for this change. As an avid texter, I would prefer the full pullout keyboard style. Hope that’s a thing.

So that’s why I have recommended KZbin videos about reminiscing on our childhood experiences! And this is it!
