I miss the show already.. It feels weird not hearing his voice. Salary will always be a factor as to whether someone goes or stay. His show covered a variety of topics ...He will always be number one. Maybe one day someone will pick up the mantel. Tom gave you energy and hope. He made our community want to do better.. It's just not the same. May God bless him in all he continues to do for HBCU.

Janice Davis I don’t know what that means. He can’t change an entire culture. He’s a dj. We need to realize that we as individual have more control over progress than a radio host. We’re always putting the responsibility on everybody else when it really starts with us, and within the four walls of our home. His platform should an addition to a standard we should already be living by.

Yes, this is my real name, I hale from SC, retired military man, currently living in Newport News, VA until I retire in a few years. Actually, our last name is more common than most people think. Though, I don't run across too many people with our last name, but I've done searches and was amazed. My 3 kids in Savannah, GA have it, plus my extended family in Sumter, SC share the name.

@@samchampion912 My first name is Richard. From Houston Tx. I never meet someone in person with the same name. But I do have extended family in Tennessee with the name. My dad found that out his first day of boot camp. His Drill sergeant shared the name.

Richard just a little funny story, I was serving in Afghanistan in 2014, and there was a young Marine with the same last name, though we are not relate, but once we met, we kept telling people he was my son. He played along quite well. Next, I have white guy that works in my professional field for the military, and we link up quite often. He lives in Huntsville, AL.

Tom I hope you read this, although, I left a comment previously, felt I needed to say this; without you knowing it, over the years that I've listen to your show, which as been at least 22 or more years, you've been a mentor, a father, a brother, a cousin, a best friend, a confidant, a motivator, a believer, an educator, a fact finder, a listener, a funds raiser, a shoulder to cry on, a positive image for Blacks, but yet, after being so much to so many people in so many roles over the years on The TJMS, YOU have never been an "Uncle Tom", and that's what makes me proud of you! Much love, blessings and success in whatever God has in store for you in this life.
