Hospital official discusses treating Trump after assassination attempt

New details are coming out about the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump and the moments after the shooting when Trump was treated at a local Pennsylvania hospital. CBS News correspondent Charlie De Mar spoke with an official at that hospital and has more.

After Reagan's assassination attempt on March 30, 1981, hospital officials provided a full report on President Reagan's injuries, the nature of the wound, etc. But, do notice how the doctor said something about a "minor" injury. Trump’s telling his story of this attempt on his life during the RNC was about the only time he appeared emotional, to the extent that he can even show emotion. However, when he said that there was blood all over his face, well, actual photographs contradict that. He had two small streams down his right cheek. The Secret Service agent who wiped his ear barely had any blood on the handkerchief. His ear was not spurting blood as Trump has suggested. I’ve spilled more blood with a bloody nose or a cut on my finger! I was horrified at the attempted assassination of Trump last week Saturday. To think of how close a .556 AR-15 round, traveling at a muzzle velocity of about 3000 feet per second, came to its target is too horrible to imagine. Following the attempt on Reagan in March 1981, his doctors gave a press conference to detail the extent of Reagan’s wound, we well the injuries of Jim Brady (head wound), Tim McCarthy (abdomen wound) and Thomas Delahanty (neck wound). It would be interesting to learn the extent of Trump’s wound, but this will never happen. And can anyone trust unlicensed "doctor" Ronnie Jackson to tell an accurate story.

What we don’t hear are gun experts telling us how AR-15 bullets damage the body, and is such an injury possible. I learned a lot about guns concerning Baldwin and the Rust case. I’m waiting to learn some more in this case with Trump.

The hospital would be concerned about the possibility of clinical shock in a fat old man: they would be checking his heart rate, his blood-pressure, blood-sugar and so on. You can see in the thumbnail pic that it literally is a nick at the edge of his ear. Nothing has “pierced’ his ear. It bled less than the average nosebleed.

We, the people, have a right to know what is happening to our presidents/official candidates regarding their health.
