Chip might be a little too out of touch when it comes to Florida's vibes. Yeah, the LSU win was big, but LSU was severely overrated. We still don't believe in Billy Napier nor Scott Stricklan, but we do believe in DJ Lagway. As a Gator fan I don't see us beating Ole Miss. I still think we are too banged up to compete with a true CFP contender. If Florida wins then you might get a change in feelings seeing as it would be a bigger win than the win over Utah in 22 but if we get dog walked... Man, Scott Stricklan better be lucky that UF has an interim president who won't fire him.

SOS is significant metric, A lot of teams that were undefeated like Army was 9-0 and got "MOLLYWHOP" by Tulane 35-0!! ( much stronger SOS) also there is such a thing as a good loss in this years tournament i.e. Ohio state loss IN Oregon by ONE POINT! also Georgia back in the hunt 2 with 8-2 record, but probably can take another loss.

Well soon it will be the national title game with only B10 and SEC teams. That's the way it is heading and really, it's boring. Time to break up these big conferences - it will only help college football to do so, and it will also spread the interest of college football across the nation instead of isolating the interest to just big brand schools in two conferences. And if any of these big conference schools/teams complain about being left out of the playoffs, the simple solution is, join another, smaller conference or go independent and be the big fish in that other pond. As of now, the CFP is just boring no matter how much baloney hype these pundit's exercise.

Strength of Schedule criteria is a pathetic fraud because it favors teams who play OVERRATED conference opponents, and cupcakes. For example: Alabama is NOT the 7th best team in the nation. Ask Vanderbilt. However, Alabama's ALLEGED SOS rank is 16. But, this is why Alabama's SOS ranking is bullsh*t: Alabama played 6 win Chattanooga from the Southern League and SFU from the American Athletic Conference. Leagues that includes Mercer, Samford, Wofford, Tulane, Furman, UAB....who ALSO ALL play other SEC teams. So, if Chattanooga beats ALL of those same Southern League opponents and SFU beats any of the those common AAC opponents. ALABAMA not only gets SOS credit for Chattanooga's 6 wins, they ALSO get credit for beating any SEC teams who beat Chattanooga's Southern League Opponents and AAC opponents....even though ALL of those Southern League and AAC teams were completely trashed by other SEC teams. This is how the SEC fraudulently "claims" to have the toughest schedule, when in fact, approximately 30 of their sublevel opponents never win against their SEC opponents, but still carry a win percentage that the SEC "gets credit" for. Bottom line is this: If the SEC were forced to play the same level of teams on the road like other conferences, their SOS rankings would be much lower. Its funny how only SEC teams seem to benefit from SOS without ACTUALLY winning. This year's 12 team CFP has opened the door to exposing the 30 year LIE about the SEC's SOS ranking.

SEC is still the best conference as of now but you do have a great point about sec teams playing FCS teams and getting sos credit. With the new playoff formatsl teams do not need a late season fcs team to play. Let alone 3 or 4 all season

He said the he’s talked to some coaches and there’s a feeling among them that he shares where they feel that the reward of winning the conference doesn’t outweigh the risk of missing out on the playoffs and the change to WIN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.
