No measures were taken to help the first baby, who reportedly had “fetal anomalies” that resulted “in death shortly after delivery.” Two of the babies were given “comfort care measures” as they died. No measures were taken to “preserve life” of the last two babies, who were previable. Previous data from the Minnesota Department of Health reveals that physicians have been leaving babies to die after failed abortions for years. In 2020, no babies were reported born alive through botched abortions, according to the Minnesota Department of Health. But between Jan. 1, 2019, and Dec. 31, 2019, three abortions resulted in born-alive babies who were then allowed to die. The first baby reportedly had “fetal anomalies” but also had “residual cardiac activity” for two minutes, yet no efforts were taken to preserve that baby’s life, and “the infant did not survive.”

Then He Removed Reporting Requirements As Democrats and media outlets accuse former President Donald Trump of dramatizing the Democratic abortion agenda, data from the Minnesota Department of Health shows that at least eight babies who survived abortions in the state were left to die. Under a 2015 Minnesota law, the state formerly was required to report whether abortions resulted in the live birth of a baby, what actions were taken to preserve the life of that baby, and whether the baby survived. I am an old white woman about the same age as Ms. BJ's parents. I, too, grew up in the segregated south. Therefore, due to obtuseness and years of conditioning, I have unwittingly made racist comments in spite of that being the furthest thing from my intention. I hope I'm not about to do that now, but, damn! I recall when the only black woman I knew was my neighbor's weekly "help," that jewel of a woman I knew only as Miss Ruby. Today, I'm not sure that two hands would be enough to count up all the heroes I admire who are black women. If we manage, somehow, to keep our democracy, I want another mountain like Rushmore with all their faces enshrined. It'll hafta be a way bigger mountain, tho.

I probably disagree with Justice Jackson on some of the important issues. But she is a self-made person - so accomplished. I admire her. And her parents clearly did a great job raising her. I wonder if CBS Sunday Morning tried to interview Amy Coney Barrett, also a self-made person.

She's a prolific questioner who sounds like someone who seeks All the Facts in order to make a truly Fair and Just decision in whatever case comes before the court.

Exactly. I would add that in order to make a FAIR and JUST decision, KBJ asks questions that clarify the basis in law that supports litigant's positions.

@youmustbejoking...umm, she does ask questions, and that is to the good...the bad: her understanding of the law is pitiful...when she indignantly argued that the 1st amendment hamstrung the government it showed a complete lack of understanding of the relationship between we the people and the government, as that is EXACTLY what the constitution is designed to do...simply put, we own the government (and honestly we're doing a sorry job right now), the government does NOT own us...

She said the key word ‘impartiality’. I can’t think of any job more important to have ethics than a judge! My goodness, Clarence Thomas is a disgrace.

Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito should be, well *are* , disqualified to hold any office under 14:3. They are insurrectionist supporters. Congress should make short shrift of these traitors.

@michelez7152 ай бұрын
It's not just Thomas. Roberts and Alito and holier than thou Gorsuch are just as bad. Thomas just had a head start on them. It's just as disgraceful, imo, that the Chief Justice should be lacking in leadership and as spineless as Roberts has shown himself to be.
