I completely get him. I've loved his creations since the first time I saw them.

"gluing high-quality prints of the originals onto glass surfaces..." John Derian has an unerring sense of proportions, and high quality objects. It would be a real pleasure to visit one of his stores in NYC. His artistic eye carries into his personal space. One item is particularly interesting: the entry door that looks like a bureau.

He doesn't cut up antique prints, the paper is not good for what he does. He makes copies and cuts THEM up ,,,

do you know on what kind of paper he prints out?

So basically decoupage.
@rpbphx6 жыл бұрын
Would that be similar to calling Jackson Pollock's No.5 basically paint dribbles?
@DarcieGlam5 жыл бұрын
Yes, he started with a decoupaged plate and turned it into a huge business. Now that's talent.
@lorrilewis21785 жыл бұрын
Yes, but made with the best eye for design, the best glass, and the best quality images. So, no, it's not basic at all.

Taking somebody else's art is not "handmade".
@lorrilewis21785 жыл бұрын
Decoupage is an old handmade craft that uses existing prints.
