Spot on. Worked for me for a bit to a certain extent, for certain things, but the core issue was not tackled, and I felt I could not get anything else out of it.

Great video and I agree with everything you said in it about CBT and the cons about it.

Hi Sam! Awesome video thanks so much for thus explanation 🙏 ive been reading a book on cbt but haven't practiced any yet. Ive been doing NLP based brain retraining -its been helpful but feel come up against some resistance-some of what ive been taught sounds similar to what your actually discussing here w CBT -are they closely related? QUESTION in regards to this video - whats your view or thoughts on limiting beliefs and how some of these can really impact/keep the anxiety or fear loop going about certain things -like how in your work do we "address these limiting beliefs" so that the same thoughts and adrenaline/chemicals dont keep arising ? I have been taught behind basically any anxiety or "pitt" theres a limiting belief that needs to be addressedto stop the same anxiety continuouslycomingup and you need to create a new steadfast belief of what u do want 😅🤔, so just not sure what to do about that using ckaire weejs/your methods yet 🤔😂Super grateful if you gave time to shed light on that 🙏 🙌

Everyone has limiting beliefs, and these are just unconscious programs. Behind every limiting belief lies fear. And fear is of course anxiety. So if any thoughts or beliefs make you fearful, frustrated or unhappy, practice first and deal with the tension and in calmer moments we can reframe or set new intentions.

@@openchangeau ahhhh ok , that makes sense🙌🙏 because sometimes it feels like I'm trying to force my rational brain to address these beliefs in real time..but often feels like it's not effective (because my body is doing anxiety sensations ) so will definitely try just focusing on what you said🙏🙏 thankyou sooo much for the reply!

What are your thoughts on metacognitive therapy?
@openchangeau3 ай бұрын
This is essentially awareness of your own thought processes and patterns which is fine, however, like CBT it doesn't address nervous system sensitisation which fuels these negative thought patterns, so there is a huge gap in my view.
