Just to let everyone know that didn’t catch it in the video...my lighting was causing the it cosmetics side to look pink. It is not at all pink on my skin as you can see in my thumbnail so I don’t want that to be a false representation. I had a light that is normally behind me in front of me on that side and it was causing the pink undertone.

Great review Mandy. I think they both look beautiful on you, but if I was forced to choose I’d pick the Thrive. I’m loving their mascara & eye palette without experiencing any eye irritation which is a very big issue for me. And since they give back, I’m thinking about ordering the cc cream and also their lipstick. Thanks so much for the comparison! XO

I don’t like chemical sunscreen but I never count on what is in the foundation as I always apply sunscreen separately. I have the It CC and I like it. It was interesting to see the two compared. Thanks 🙏

I couldnt wear the original IT CC Cream either even though I loved the look. The citrus oils made me want to claw my skin off. I was so excited that this new version does not have those oils. I apply it sheerly with a damp sponge and I love that I dont need to powder it. I do love the Thrive company and their brow liner saved me when chemo erased my brows. They formulated to actually stay on bare skin and it does. Thanks for the review.

Yes...I can only guess it was the citrus oils that made me itch too, but I have used those in other products and not had the same reaction. It was probably something in the 95 other ingredients. LOL I am eager to look into their brow pencil. My entire tail end of brow is something I have to draw in directly over skin so that sounds awesome!!

I’m a big IT CC fan, but only for the first month or so of the bottle. I swear, after that it doesn’t sit right on my skin - looks orange and feels too thick. I store all of my makeup in a dry, cool room (not in my bathroom) away from sunlight, so I know it’s not a storage issue. The product just seems to oxidize really fast, perhaps due to the amount of sunscreen? Bit of a bummer. I also don’t like that the shades differ across the formulations - the Light I use in the normal/matte formulation is completely different than the Light I’ve tried in the illuminating formulation. I thought I was going crazy but I compared swatches at Ulta and it was a totally different shade. Makes for more guesswork.

I agree that the color range isn't consistent or the greatest among the CC Creams. The newest confidence in a foundation is a product I am really loving however. :)

Hi Mandy! I am a long time IT CC cream user, not the matte I enjoy the oil in the original. I really love the coverage and the color. For me it doesn't break up at all and is just so easy to blend. Never have tried the Thrive brand, maybe next time. Thanks for your honest review! :)

I am always wearing CC creams during the day now, so I was ecstatic to see this video. And I'm constantly doing half/half face tests with different CC/BB/foundations, so I love that you did it too! Like you, I prefer physical sunscreens, but I don't mind a mix in a CC/BB cream, as I always apply my physical sunscreen underneath. I am halfway through my 2nd tube of Smashbox' CC cream spf 30, which is a mix of mostly chemical with a tiny bit of titanium dioxide, so it's okay -- I care far more about whether the shade match is good and that it doesn't emphasize texture/pores on my skin. Please do more CC/BB cream reviews! XOXO Julie

I wish you could compare this bronzer to the Tom Ford Terra (small size, I think it's a different formula from large..) it looks very similar and I've hit major pan 😭. Looks like you've been out in the sun too long (without the sun damage🙌🏻)! Love that type of bronzer color in the summer ☀️ 😍

I don't have the small size; just the large. It's definitely a different formula too. I have a hard time picking up the prodcut from Tom Ford. I have to take a spoolie and scrape it off so I can pick it up with a brush. Very high maintenance. LOL I do LOVE the one I have on though for the reason you mentioned. It looks SO tan and sunkissed. I may have gone overboard but I love the look.

Hey Mandy! I know it wasn't mentioned in this video, but you've brought it up a few other times and I keep forgetting to tell you.. as far as an AM eye cream.. with the Sephora sale coming up, you should try the Ole Henricksen Banana Brightening eye cream.. it's amazing! I was just telling Stephanie about it, talking about the sale this week. It's very moisturizing and has the best brightening effect, you end up using a little less concealer, which is always a plus! I'm also going to pick up the FAB concealer you recommended! Had it on my loves list since it launched, but once you recommended it got moved to my basket! :) I also just had a friend ask me for a recommendation for a retinol.. I of course told her do not spend money on anything other than the Truth Treatments! :) And i gave her your code to help you out. I use it every time I order anything from Premier Look. I can tell a little difference in the thrive side, it just looks more like skin. And your skin is so beautiful, I would never use a full coverage foundation if I was you! I loved killing two reviews and once!

Unfortunately for me I hav ALOT of skin issue on my face besides dry mature skin I hav fine lines, texture, large pores, lots of deep n pitted acne scarring, n etc a lot of foundations especially full coverage emphasizes everything n makes me look 20yrs older I hav tried several Foundations Estée Lauder Double Wear, Too Faced Born This Way, Jouer, YSL All Hours, It Cosmetics CC Cream n many more but I get the same results so I was wondering what foundations would u recommend I try?

Angelina Carraway35 I have similar problems and I love the new Dior backstage foundation and the Estée Lauder double wear NUDE. The Dior has more coverage (medium) and is a more natural matte. The double wear nude is light/medium coverage and a little dewy but I set it with the bye bye pores loose powder from IT cosmetics and it looks great and it lasts well. The Estée Lauder is probably better if you have dry skin but the Dior looks just like skin and gives better coverage with a lovely matte finish.

Hey, Mandy. Thought these both look good on you but, I agree with Courtland!! I think the Thrive looks better! She has a great eye for 9 yrs. old. “Good Home Training”!! 😉 Haha! When you use your GloSkin Cream Bronzer do you Dip the It Brush you recommended into the “pot” and then, apply to your face. Or do you apply the product directly to your skin with your fingers or ??? You did a great job with the video, I loved the knowledge you shared on the 2 products and how they compare with each other as well as the individual review for each product. I do want to share with you that Titanium Dioxide is as it sounds, a metal. It is used in many things to make them harder and/or last longer; specifically; the hard outer shell of an m&m or skittles, and in tattoos to make the ink last longer, and much more. So a physical sunscreen does have some advantages but people with immune diseases and/or allergies may find this to be very problematic; and it may be why you found that your face burned and itched a bit with the IT product containing the Titanium Dioxide.

How much of the CC Cream would you have to put on your face to actually get SPF 40? 1/4 tsp of the cc cream for your neck and another 1/4 tsp for the face... is that correct? I think that would be a lot of product.

You would need that much which is why I don't rely in spf in makeup products. I always like to make sure I wear a separate spf underneath. :)

The air conditioner was fine....not noisy at all. I guess I am in the minority but I liked the IT side a bit better. I like you don not care for IT CC in general, there's just something about it that I don't like and it's that I want to like it but I don't! If that makes sense. Their shade in the original stinks....the light is way too yellow for me and of course the Fair is too light. I have spent waaaaay too much this month between all the sales that I won't be buying much if any from Sephora. Great review Mandy! xxoo

Thrive cosmetics lash extension mascara is my holy grail mascara! It not only lengthens but never gives me racoon eyes which SO many do on me. I haven't tried any of their other products yet. To bad the CC cream has chemical SPF :( Thanks for the video!!!

So over the IT Cosmetics doesn’t work for me. I love Thrive eyebrow pencils & eyeliners, lip glosses but never tried anything else. Oh I did like the mascara I tried! Haven’t tried anything else but love what Thrive stands for 👍🏼 I don’t like anything from IT Cosmetics and after trying the recent CC cream oil free and it was awful, I’m done with them 🤦🏼‍♀️ I think the Thrive looked way better. IT looks too pink & greasy 😖🙀

Mandy Davis MUA The IT Cosmetics side looked oily on you. I gave my IT Cosmetics CC Cream oil free plus matte away to a friend with dry skin. It was awful on me & started breaking up with or without primer. I’ve tried other things as well & I am not a fan. This is one of the most overrated brands IMO 🤷🏼‍♀️

I agree with your 9 year old; I like the Thrive side better on you. I thought the shade match was better too! And I strongly prefer products that don't have a hundred ingredients, lol. I don't know why It Cosmetics thinks it needs to jam in all those ingredients that don't do much except pose a potential irritation trigger for people. I guess it's a marketing thing.

The side with IT Cosmetics CC Cream, looks like your skin may have a reaction to an ingredient in the CC Cream. Your skin looks very flushed on the IT Cosmetics side.

Collecting snail slime doesn’t hurt the snails in any way, it just seems gross. It totally works though to make the skin more youthful.
