Aside from this the paywall to entry is so high. The CCW license scheme is 💯 completely classest. There ARE good people in had situations. They might have enough for the gun and ammo amd training but not all the other fees on top. This needs to change! Im on disability but i still have a family! I still go to Church! I still patron establishments! And I DON'T FEEL SAFE! I wonder if i could work with one of the firearms groups to put a lawsuit on the state since SCOTUS already ruled about ridiculous fees and requirements

@@ToddCotta Exactly. The founders explicitly said in the case of the 2nd amendment "this right shall not be infringed" by the government and any entity of. If people/politicians cannot find a meaningful solution for an issue/issues, without violating the peoples constitutional rights, in any realm of the law, then their proposals are not valid, not constitutional and they are not fit to represent the people. Just imagine for a moment if someon tried to step on the 14th amendment. People would lose their sh*t. (I chose the 14th as an example due to there being a group of women out there who want to get rid of the 2nd, which I shall not name).

The sad thing is this could have been stopped a long time ago by the Supreme Court with New York. What is worse is the number of law enforcement that have no problem upholding clearly unconstitutional laws. I had my first interview yesterday. Just basic stuff. Now I have to get my Livescan and course completed by the 21st of this month. After hearing all of this, is there a point? I don't know if it's even worth it. And advice or opinions would be appreciated. I also don't know how long this process currently takes.

In my county in Central California it takes about 3 weeks. But other counties they take a long time because they just don't like processing these things. So depending on where you live it depends on how long it will take. Also, looks like these laws are going to be defeated. We should not see SB2 implemented in California for quite some time. Very interesting and informative post. Resolve the problem once and for all. We desperately need Federal Constitutional Amendments giving the people the right to carry concealed firearms (CCW) on their person in order to protect themselves and others from the criminal elements that control the streets of our communities. Schools and churches should have armed security personnel present in order to protect the innocent. Make the Federal Constitutional Amendments a part of every State’s Constitution.

I have had my CCW in Southern California for years now. Spends probably thousands on training, insurance, etc. I realized it’s cheaper to just carry without a permit as cops won’t do anything to you. I let my CCW permit expire and will not renew

Ok ok, i will try to be nice. SB2 applies to residents and US citizens only, if you were born in California, SB2 doesn't apply to you. You only qualify for a CCW if you are a resident. Us citizens are residents. Your birth certificate is your natural right to own a gun, its also proof you're a citizen of California, not a resident or US citizen. Residents and us citizens are aliens that reside as aliens among California Citizens. Newsom uses gun laws to protect California citizens from residents and us citizens who are allowed to have guns. Us citizens that do not reside in California and merely passing thru must lock their guns in the trunk. When they get to Oregon, they must know their laws for residents. You can read this in the 2022 California firearms law summary, under transportation of handguns, like page 9 or so
