I was there in 2007 and it was an amazing experience. being in the paddock and such. The atmosphere was the same like with the motor grand prix' and loved it more like with Formula 1. Too bad it was just 1 race and not more due to Champ Cars stopped to exist.

Champ Car. What an era. It's like CART, cool cars but they didn't have the quality teams and hated ovals, they had some drivers though...most were young and not full to their capacity yet.

they didnt "hate" ovals, they didnt have the money to continue devleopment of oval aero and chassis setups after 2002. from 2003 to 2005 they ran one pair of wings all season, forcing high downforce setups at Lausitz and Vegas. Milwaukee was the shortest oval on calendar so top speed wasnt a big deal. they made bids to race at many tracks, including ovals in 2006 and 2007 but very few American tracks answered and not a single one was an oval

That Phanos European Cup was as confusing as hell to figure out. How about points scored by both team cars in both races, divided by two (except Conquest)?

Living only 8 miles from the TT-Circuit this has been the only event ever producing so much noise, I could hear it in my backyard. The race however was one of the most boring motorsports events I have ever attended...

Zandvoort isn't any wider then Assen.

that's true, but running open wheel downforce cars on a motorbike track was a mistake

@@AlonsoRules Exactly Zandvoort is like 10x better when it comes to car racing. I've been to Zandvoort for 6 years now and went to Assen for the first time 2 months ago and i think its the most boring circuit i've ever been too. I've been to Spa, Zolder, Nurburgring/Nordschleife, Monza and Hockenheim
