Not agreeing at all with the guy who tried putting a hate symbol on the canvas, but Connor's reasoning that it's bad partially because it's merely political, is such a bad and hypocritical argument. These canvas events always have people showing pride for their people by depicting nation flags, pride flags, religious and movement symbols, etc. Like it or not this stuff can be political to some people, so it's not a cohesive argument to mock the idea of someone including an abstract politics in a setting where people are having fun just because the subject matter itself is serious. Politics is serious enough, let people express their desire for freedom, equality, and subtlety signal a call to action in whatever setting as long as they're relatively civil about it, and as long as it's not about hating a particular group of people just cause. Again, fuck the hate speech dude, my only gripe is with Connor's flimsy argument that implies politics as always being this hyper serious thing that has no place in a chill setting not specifically catered to that type of discussion.
