@Wayne Rempel You laugh, why is that? You do not believe that with the correct maintenance wood can last a hundred years or more? There are buildings that are still standing that were built in the 1700's. and those had extremely limited maintenance. When Correctly oiled and preserved you would be surprised how long they ( cedar shakes ) can last. I am not saying they are cheap to maintain.

Shouldn’t ever power wash cedar shingles…cedar institute of cedar technology recommends just using bleach and water to clean…just use a hose. I’d fire these clowns if I seen them pull out that pressure washer.

If a roof can’t be pressure washed it’s not a roof......I pressure wash more roofs than I’ve ever imagined. No problems, always cleanest option! Coatings stick like it was a new eoof

DC roofing, guess putting a roof through the equivalent of Hurricane force water pressure is a good thing for the roof ....?. Wrong. Just because you've done it for long time doesn't make it correct. It causes irreversible damage and shortens the life of the product. Research manufacturer specs before putting your customers property at risk of damage
