That's a Hunter Coastal Breeze Plus. High speed should be much faster than that, so it looks like you would have to replace a 2-wire capacitor next.

What happens if the speed still doesn’t work because I had to replace the chain but after replacing it, i could only do 1 speed instead of four? I have four wires also that connect

Hi! I really enjoyed your video especially since lately I have been working on my room and daughter s ceiling fans. I am having a problem after replacing the ceiling fan switch it only works at one speed and with with a humming sound. Did I possibly messed up with the wire placements?? can not figure it out.

This is a question and not a comment. My question is pertaining to the capacitor. Mine is a CBB61 E183963 but is says at the bottom 50/60hz MAX. TEMP 70C. Also is shows 6 uF + 5% 250V.AC. 5 uf + 5% 250V.AC and 4.5 uF +5% 350. AC. I am trying to find the exact one or can I use the one that you dispaly in your video with different numbers and MAX TEMP 105C?

The light has a pull chain, and the fan has a pull chain. Do they share the same switch compartment, ro do they each have their own..?

I noticed your used switch had different colors than the old one? The one you removed had the colors and numbers matching mine except the red one on mine is orange. What should I do?

On the old switch make note of what color wire goes to which number.. The new switch should be numbered the same.. Then connect the wires to the same numbers on the new switch..

Why won't my wires go into the switch? I thought I had a bad switch that I bought so returned it and bought another one, but the wires just don't go in. Any suggestions? It's a 3-way switch for a 3 speed ceiling fan.

@@tongo117 Yes, it does. But I think, now that I saw answers on the website for the switch, that the wires won't go in if cut. So I have to find a way to solder them individually, or tin them, while standing on a ladder. The twisted wires aren't strong enough to push through the hole on the switch. My flush mount ceiling fan wobbbles on high speed. Could I disconnect high speed wire on pull chain? Is 1 high ? Is 3 high?

Fixing the wobble would be my first priority.. If that's not possible I would just avoid high speed.. Run the fan on low or medium..

If it's high, low, low, make sure you're using L-1, L-2-3, L-3 switch. The common problem of having 2 low speed instead of a medium is caused by having L-1, L-2, L-3 chain switch instead of L-1, L-2-3, L-3. L-1, L-2, L-3 is usually for winding taps, and L-1, L-2-3, L-3 is for capacitor based speed control.
