it is very different for me. Many models look better in many outfits, because it depends on their tall bodys. Tall, when it is not too thin or too heavy look more elegant and sophisticated. But some stars look better than the models or same good than the models. But I think designer are exactly knowing why they prefer tall models.

I think Tilda Swinton, Nicole Kidman and surprisingly, Kylie Jenner pulled off runway looks the best. Also Anne Hathaway. Gabrielle Union in that pink rose dress was a stand out. It looks like it was custom made for her. Some of the pale skinned ladies are wearing colors that wash them out. Jessica Alba is also a standout in Tamara Ralph

Most people do not realize that when you buy from a design house, there are two options for each design. You can buy the actual dress that was on the runway, as is, as a one of a kind design, for an ungodly price, OR, you can take one of the lower options, of which there are quite a few. But that big question is, do you want that unique runway item that no one will ever have one like it? If you are not willing to pay for exclusivity you can get that runway version but you take the chance of ending up seeing your twin at an award show or red carpet event. Embarrassing. Then the design house fits it to you, and if they change the design to better go with your body, most people would not tell a designer no. Some designers tell you they have creative control on the fitting because it’s their design with their name on it. So yes it can look different on a person off the runway. Because it is. It’s tailored to the buyer. Models are thin to showcase the clothes. Regular people have boobs and curves.

I think most of them look better on the celebrities as they actually have a figure and it gives a shape to the dress. Actually think it's odd that they don't use regular size people on the runway since most the dresses look better that way.

Most of the dresses surprisingly looked better on the celebrities than on the models 9 times out of 10. The models looked like 2 dimensional hangers for the clothing for display purposes. The celebrities looked more normal and living in the dress than the models. Isn't it the point that people who can afford these designer dresses will be wearing these fashion creations, otherwise who would ever buy them? It is up to the consumer to pick the right dress for their own body and taste.

I wonder if the majority of the celebs with curved bodies and huge chest ever looked at themselves in the mirror in the designer’s gowns? With the exception of very few celebs who looked great in the designer outfits the rest.. you be the judge.
