There are social media platforms saying that Rihanna wrote the song. Tems, super talented Nigerian female singer wrote, arranged and produced 'Lift Me Up'. Rihanna, a proud Barbadian Woman of African descent, and Tems a Proud African Woman from Nigeria, collaborated and gave us one of the best songs I have ever heard. You’re acting as if people are obligated to mention Tems all the time. The artist representing the song is Rihanna. Yes, Tems wrote the song along with Rihanna, Ryan and Mr. Göransson (which is already an Oscar winner and you don’t see him being mentioned all the time). All of them contributed to the song. There’s no way to measure who did the most because none of us were there; I think is safe to assume that all of them did their own thing with this. I absolutely loved this song..but can we mention that without Chadwick Bosemans incredible awe inspiring talent and quiet suffering I think that is what pushed this song over the top and beyond..I hear it and I see his face..nonstop award shows and speeches as he lost weight..the roles he played while suffering..never saying a word...that's what along with this amazing song that I think floored us all and had us all in a puddle of tears on the floor when it was released..

Idk, I'm on the edge with this... to me it sounds very discordant, almost violently tragic... and honestly, Rhianna was kind of apathetic in how she carried and released almost every tone resulting in a very bleak feeling, especially overlaid on the discordant soundscape... the harp throughline just makes it seem more poetic. It giving 300 final scene in slow mo where they are all facing their demise It's giving Avatar's home tree is falling It's giving Avengers Endgame when it's just over and it seems there is nothing that can be done It's giving Iron Man going into the giant wormhole in the sky thing not expecting to come back?? (did he come back out of it? He had to to be (spoiler) fried, right?) And to be frank, this could have, even if this was the intended sentiment, erupted and snapped with just more vocal mastery. Rihanna could have taken me on a whole journey instead of just breaking my heart. This performance was honestly feeling a bit rushed and one dimensional... Sooooo, nah this is a tribute to Black Panther, not Chadwick. My Chadwick tribute is going to remain Beyonce's OTHERSIDE But I can't judge Rihanna, because she has a Superbowl to prepare for. So all real commentary withheld until then.
