#goals you are so incredibly organized and I am so jealous of your gorgeous Judaica the only one we got at our wedding was a beautiful Kiddush cup from our wedding planner. I'm slowly trying to build up a stash and creating cool things with the kidlets. My little guys love dancing around to Shaboom Shabbat songs

Aww thank you Nikki you are so sweet! I am really looking forward to that homemade Judaica as my son gets older but I'm sure I'll also be like 'let's save this for when it's just us' lol! We actually registered for Judaica for our wedding as I was nervous I would get a lot of stuff I didn't like (seeing as there is so much out there) but I am always on the hunt for more!! And I'll definitely check out Shaboom SHabbat I haven't heard that before!

I shed a couple of tears watching this. Not because there's anything bad or upsetting about the video - on the contrary, it moved me to watch such a beautiful presentation of hosting Shabbat - and to realise how far this is from my current life. You've encouraged me to take some more steps in the direction of my Jewish roots and Yiddishkeit. Thank you again and keep up the great work. Shalom l'hitraot...

My Jewish Mommy Life yay! I just might do it! Was also so disappointed in the crummy content out there for Earth Day - lots of animation, wordy PowerPoint style and dated material which compelled me to shoot my own. That said, filming real life takes a lot of work (as you know!). Shabbat I’m sure has an even bigger audience tho, since we get it 52 weeks a year! Ha! As usual, you have wonderful ideas, and thank you for planting the seed in my little brain. 🙏. I’ll hope to help you fill the void in this area of YT!

Daniela Santos I grew up as a kid SDA but I’ve been a Jew now for my entire adult life and I’m almost 40. I can tell you a Shabbat dinner is the best way to enter into the Shabbat space that God gave us. My daughters love lighting the Shabbat candles and reciting the blessings over the Wine(juice) and Challah. Judaism is beautiful and I’m so blessed to have re-joined the tribe. I say rejoined because my ancestors were Jews from Spain but forced to convert to Catholicism. They found SDA because of the sabbath and “kosher” like eating. Then my parents were the first (in both sides of my family) to come all the way back to Judaism after deep study and conviction. It’s not for everyone and not seen as a requirement to enter the pearly gates. It’s just a personal choice we made to live as Jews. Shabbat Shalom!

You’re right, this is how it should be! But not til dawn! We are not Jewish, but traveled from Jerusalem to TelAviv on a Sabbath evening and passed by house after house celebrating their Shabbot...the overwhelming feeling of witnessing a magnificent, holy tradition was mind-boggling. I had such a longing for that kind of togetherness. The expressions of the families in the homes....such joy....one of my best memories. Keep up the videos! You are educating us all.

Prepare your food ahead of time or preorder the meal to be brought on Shabbath. If you have a kitchen in the room you can prepare ahead or heat up food you bought in a microwave. You would probably need a diffuse, and grape juice or wines. Oh and Halla. But it shouldn’t be too different from when you do it at home. Are you a Jew?
