You absolutely can under those circumstances❤️ Matthew 12:10-12 [10] And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? That they might accuse him. [11] And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? [12] How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

Shalom family of the Most High Yahuah and His one and only Beloved Son Yahshua 🙂 There is much discussion and even debates about the Sabbath but the word is very clear. The Sabbath is the 7th day of the week, not the first day, which was changed by those who run this world. I was in church for over 23 years and they never spoke or taught anything about the Sabbath; however, in 2020 as I was reading Scripture, my spirit was quickened that I should be keeping the Sabbath. I shared this revelation with people I knew who are close the Yah and they rejected this truth and said they would pick their own day to rest. As the Messiah said, it is good to do good on the Sabbath, which was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. I keep Saturday as did our ancestors, the original and true Israelites. However, I'm not legalistic about it because we are under the grace of the Most High but I do dedicate it for spending time with my Heavenly Father and listening to awake Hebrew Israelite ministers, who are filled with the Holy Spirit in spirit and in truth. So if an emergency arrives and you need to go to the store and buy something, you will not lose your salvation nor will Yah punish you because His grace is sufficient to cover you in all things. I believe Yah blesses those who diligently seek Him and who obey Him. It's so good to see so many keep Yah's law/commandments. Be blessed and stay encouraged because our redemption is near. I don’t fully understand all things but I’ve learned more in these last four years than I did in 23 years of going to church. And how much you would greatly appreciate their support in your walk to be a better person and a more holy, spiritual person. I would also pray before that talk and ask Yah to speak through you and to fill you with the Holy Spirit, while also asking for Him to open their hearts up to receive the message. I hope this helps 😘

Shalom my dear sister. I discovered your channel, yesterday evening, and I subscribed. I'm excited to be here. Thank you so much for this lesson, I learned something that I had never considered before, all praises to The Most High. I wanted to share some thoughts concerning the use of a microwave to reheat food on the Sabbath -- not trying to sway you, or anyone. Imho, the use of electricity is not the same as literally kindling a fire, although electricity can cause or ignite fire. We use lights, heating and air (electricity) in our homes on the Sabbath, and a refrigerator, which operates, continually, by electricity. Some of us also use computers and/or TVs to assemble, virtually via livestream, due to having no place to assemble, locally. Therefore, what's the difference between those things operating on the Sabbath and the use of a microwave to reheat food quickly (less than 5 minutes) on the Sabbath? 🙂Just a thought. However, to each their own, as we are working out our own salvation with fear and trembling. Much love, peace, and blessings. Have a good evening.
@scriptureswithsusanna Жыл бұрын
Good question as I also used a microwave as well when I first began to observe the Sabbath. Then I ran across an elder teaching on the topic and was edified about the use of the microwave so my husband and I stopped. We look at it this way, if the item can boil water then it’s essentially kindling your food since it makes it hot. Yahawa is not going to use modern terms in ancient writings so it’s up to use to discern what it might mean in this current time. He covers it by saying don’t kindle a fire which is heating up food. I suggest to not use it as it comes off like cutting corners, you know. The last thing you want is for this to be held against you on judgement day cause you leaned on your own understanding. Err on the side of caution just to be safe 😊 And welcome to the family! I pray that you’re edified through the Spirit 🙌🏾
@dogood1785 Жыл бұрын
@@scriptureswithsusanna Shalom sis, thank you!😊 I was edified, praises to The Most High 🙌🏾. I truly appreciate your videos, and I'm so glad I discovered your channel. I respect you and your husband's decision to not use a microwave on the Sabbath. I see what you are saying, it can also cook food. Looking at scripture, YAH tells us in Exodus 35:3, Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day. Keeping the Word in proper context, He means, starting an actual fire; He is clearly stating - you shall start no fire throughout your habitations on the sabbath day; that's not limited to cooking. Starting a fire is quite labor-intensive, which entails chopping and gathering wood, to build and start the fire. In the wilderness, there was a man found gathering sticks (wood) on the sabbath day, who was stoned to death (Numbers 15:32-36). In the ancient days, I believe they used fire for more purposes than cooking - remember the molten calf? Gold was used in the temple, when Solomon built the Temple. How would they have melted down gold? Work was involved. Today, people build fires for various purposes, as well. For example, to burn things, such as waste in landfills, although I don’t think it’s done here in the US, as much; to cremate, moreover the slash and burn method of agriculture comes to mind, which are all forms of work. Nevertheless, it’s an individual choice. I try not to lean unto my own understanding. I’m so thankful that The Most High is merciful, full of compassion and grace, and that He gives us wisdom, and understanding of His Word, also for His Holy Spirit. He leads and guides us into all truth. YAH will never let His children be deceived, He is our Light and Salvation. Much love, peace, and blessings 😊

Hello Susanna, @ 3:00 you said that The Weekly Sabbath Day is from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown, first of all there is a difference between a Sabbath and a Sabbath Day, a Sabbath can be any length of time because it is a rest, for example the Sabbath of The Land where that Sabbath is 1 year, now secondly there is nowhere and I repeat nowhere in The Bible where a Sabbath Day is evening to evening, if you can find it please provide The Scripture, also The Bible says that Light is Day and Darkness is Night, it also says that the greater light which is the sun rules the day, so if you are correct we should be able to see the sun at night, so please update your data on this, and blessings for your head covering.

Even though the food is made before if you are putting it together that takes cutting, mixing, grinding, blending then you are working if you want to get technical. New covenant does make allowances examples that come to mind is when the disciples are picking grain and eating it. Another time is when Christ is healing on the Sabbath and another one still is caring for ones animals. Though I do not cook I will use a micro wave to warm my food made prior. I do not work for money nor do I buy, sell or trade on the Sabbath. The day is mostly spent in rest, prayer and study.

Yeah, to sum up this message, Sabbaths are 24-hour holy gatherings to cease from every single worldly distraction (not meaning taking care of children), to pray, praise, dance, celebrate, and magnify God until the Glory literally appears. Great message, traveling far on Sabbaths is forbidden, so if beyond walking distance, everyone needs to drive before evening on Sabbaths to holy gathering locations. Sleep in vehicles if necessary, we do at camp retreat locations, with propet sleeping quarters, and showers, and baptism pool for daily cleansing.

Is microwaving included in the no cooking rule?
@aeonwindsoeur4 ай бұрын
I came across jewish videos regarding keeping the sabbath. The biblical background is to make no fire on the sabbath, in todays world this is: turning the lights off in the fridge (because opening the door switches light on), not using the light switches (you can leave light on, if you need, but not switching it „on“). Their explanation was that making fire needs a spark, and when you switch the lights on electricity runs through a wire and causes a spark…. I do not know if this is for strictly observing jewish people only or what other denominations will give you as an explanation why they do or do not follow these rules the same way.
@aeonwindsoeur4 ай бұрын
So using the microwave might fall under the same rule. This is why they often use heating pads and water heaters that are switched on before lighting the shabbat candles and stay on until shabbat ends. This way there is always hot water and warm food available

This topic is so tough I've heard so many different breakdowns, but I keep searching the scriptures for clarity. Question regarding cooking and kindling a fire, the Levites had to make the shewbread on the Sabbath day which meant they cooked/baked the bread. Is it fair to say that kindling a fire could mean something else? It does have other meanings I'm still looking into it and praying about it though. Thawadah for the work you do!

Thanks. Fantastic ideas for the Sabbath. I just have a concern. We live in a very cold environment and rely on wood heat. We gather the wood ahead of time. Need to keep the stove going on cold days. Unfortunately some nights we don’t wake up soon enough to keep the stove going. So have to start or kindle the fire to keep it going. This can be so controversial these days. What constitutes kindle? Hard to rest and relax knowing that the heat might be gone if we don’t wake up in time. Having an automatic furnace is easier. But we don’t anymore. I’m sure they didn’t back in bible days. Lol but Jerusalem winter is not as harsh as some countries. Thoughts?

Hello Susanna; Wonderful message. Thank you. Question: The Bible tells us in Genesis 1:14 that the stars and moon are for times, seasons and days. Leviticus 23 ascribes feast days on full moons. That indicates that the Sabbath follows the cycles of the new moon, 1st quarter moon, full moon and last quarter moon and not necessarily Friday sundown to Saturday sunset, since Pope Gregory changed the calendar.which alters the Sabbath day. Comments?

@@sharononeill6477 Thawadah sis 💕 Being in this truth you will find that people have different doctrines and will observe the Sabbath on Friday to Saturday, on the Lunar Moon cycle etc so it’s best to stick to what your Spirit resonates with to ensure that you observe. Yahawashi will clear it all up when He returns. The best thing for us to do now is to come out of the world, repent and walk in the Spirit. To clean up our garment so Yah willing we can endure until the end and be saved. When the exact day is, is not as important as rehearsing the righteous acts. I need your help. Good day, I hope you are well. I have never practiced the Sabbath before but it is my wish to learn to honour God in my ways. In terms of keeping the Sabbath, I am conflicted when it comes to self grooming. Is keeping clean, in particular washing your hair, considered selfish or labour? Is it not considered “good” to be clean on the Sabbath? Because the bible also encourages to do good on the Sabbath. Can you keep your lights on during Sabbath? Or is it considered the equivalent of making fire? Also, do you have to switch off the geyser and bath with cold water? Can you not even do the least of tidying, I mean I get not washing dishes, those can be put aside in a tidy manner and wash after Sabbath. But what about basic tidying up after yourself? For example making your bed. Should we just not tidy up after ourselves and leave everything behind us looking a hot mess? Sorry for this many questions. It would be helpful to know.
@scriptureswithsusanna10 ай бұрын
Shabbat Shalawam! Yes, you can do some small tidying up after yourself on Sabbath. So making up your bed, and picking up toys after children (stuff like that) is all fine. Like you said don’t go cleaning up a whole bathroom or washing a bunch of dishes as that’s more labor intensive. I would suggest that you wash your hair on Sunday cause it does take some time for us women of color 😊 But you can wash your face, brush your teeth etc. Turning on lights in not considered kindling a fire. That only pertains to food so you’re good there as well. I hope this helps!

Shalawam sis! When the law states that you can’t kindle a fire it is only referring to cooking. Exodus 35:2-3 goes into a bit more detail as verse 2 says whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death; so cooking would be considered doing work. Frankincense is considered a holy item to burn as it was used in the temple pertaining to Exo 30 and Lev 2.

@@twisted7338 That’s a great precept to actually prove that the Sabbath is from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown. That scripture says, at the end of the sabbath (Sat night) as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week (Sunday). Yah created the days to begin at nighttime per Genesis 1:5 “and the evening and morning were the first day”. If the day started in the morning like the Edomites have taught us, He would’ve said the morning and the evening were the first day. Hope this makes sense 😊

If someone can demonstrate that Saturday aligns with the biblical Sabbath, I am willing to offer a reward of $5,000. From my understanding, the Sabbath should be independent of the Gregorian calendar. The designation of Saturday dates back to 321 AD under Emperor Constantine, and thus it does not originate from the Creation. While the concept of a seven-day cycle is indeed from the Creator, it doesn't necessarily correspond to what we now call Saturday.

How can Saturn's day the origin of where we get Saturday be a substitute for the Seventh day Sabbath, let alone Suns day be the Seventh day Sabbath. It never ceases to amaze me that the related god's of the solar system and there subjects ( worshippers) try with all cunning and deceptive means, discredit the plain word of scripture. As for the accuracy of the calendars was again to mask the true day of worship. Truth can never be vanquished, it has stood the test of time and disgard its everlasting quality is to expose the size and comprehension of our pea brain against the vastness of creation. Let us allow God to increase our knowledge. Happy Bible study.
