The sad part about Trouble's passing was that she was part of that first wave of Hip Hop/New Jack Swing acts that were signed to Motown under Jeryl Busby. She, along with The Boys, Today, The Good Girls, Rich Nice, Red Bandit, Doc Box and B Fresh, Joyce Irby, Brownmark, and Georgio, could have been something special for years to come. Rest In Beats.

I was about 12 or 13 and I remember seeing MC Trouble, The Boys, Today, Jeff Redd, and maybe one more Motown artist on that Motown Revue tour in 1990 at the Celebrity Theatre in Anaheim, CA. She tore it up, along with all the acts. I also remember 1580 KDAY announcing her death as well, everyone was shocked. She was such a talent to go so young, it was very sad to hear of her passing back then. Thank you for honoring her and her legacy, great video! 👍🏾

This was so tragic. She was so ahead of her time and so young. I can relate to her not wanting to share her condition with anyone. I have a chronic illness that I never told my best friend, boyfriend or anyone coming up. I didn’t wanna be looked at as the sick one and get any pity or be treated differently. I spent lots of years trying to outdo the next person, trying to prove I can do what a person who doesn’t have my condition can do. The only negative about that is if there is ever an emergency or you get sick, no one will know how to help you or what to tell the EMT or hospital. It is best to tell at least 1 person in case of emergency. RIP Trouble, so young, gone way too soon.
