The first time I heard the song "What you won't do for love" it awoke something in my soul. I was raised by a baby boomer that loved music, no matter what genre it was, what year the debut, I listened to it growing up. From The Jubalaires, Nat King Cole, Aretha Franklin, Mahalia Jackson, Boston, George Benson, Bill Withers, Al Green, and then to any and all other genres. Bobby hit me deep down and it hurts to hear his music and think of how his end came.

I am shocked and saddened to hear this for the first time! he was one of my favorites! I'm from Cleveland and I saw he, and Natalie Cole there. I accidently walked in on a warm-up rehearsel at the old "Front Row Theater" I thought someone was playing his tune "What You won't do for love" on the intercom, but it was really he and his group, It sounded so much like the CD I was amazed! They never stopped singing even through my interruption, I told my sister who was there at the show with me, it was a meet and greet with the artist show, which at the time Boney James was his sax man before he left the group. That was a great show! but i've always known that Bobby was White, which was no big deal to me! R.I.P Bobby, won't be forgotten!

OMG, I’m watching this and totally immersed into the story. I’m relating to a white sounding like a black man. I once sang Barry Whites, Can’t get enough and afterwards a black couple told me I aught to change my name to Barely White😅 That’s a hell of a great compliment. As the story goes on, I’m freaking because the part about his Achilles tendon sounds identical to my current issue. Additionally the pain in my fingers and the difficulty that presents sometimes even holding a mic. I’m careful to avoid things that irritate those health problems. I have good days and bad days. Thank you for bringing his story to us. As for me, I’ll look into those medications and see if I’ve used them. Ironically I came here because I needed to know more about Bobby and What you won’t do for love, before I sing it. I almost feel that Bobby passed the relay baton to me and all that heard his message to ask ourselves the question about what we’re willing to do for love?
