To be fair, Farewell is like a low Advanced Map, and a lot of the D-Sides are around the same difficulty as Farewell, however 6 to 8 are Expert, and 9 is easily a Green Grandmaster map.

I could only beat the prologue, and then I couldn’t even beat the first room of chapter 1, so yeah, definitely need to be a pro at that stuff to play the D-sides

I played 2020 spring collab up to expert, and 1D already feels around as difficult as an easy expert map there when they bring out the GM difficulty, it’s probably time to perish

I think by "casual player" they mean "people who only play it once or twice." Casual D-side player, rather than casual Celeste player.

the modded maps maybe but the main game is so fun, i promise you. Its hard but fair
