Celestial themed makeover of my POUNDLAND cloggs...

Sorry for being MIA for a while but in addition to a busy work schedule, we had a leaking boiler, and the boiler is in the airing cupboard in my craft room. We had to completely empty the airing cupboard so the room was in chaos, plus we had three separate visits from engineers, sometimes waiting a few days before they turned up, so I couldn't do any resin pouring while people needed access to the room. Anyway, that's all sorted now and I'm back!
Because of my mobility issues I find Crocs/cloggs are an easy option for me on the days when I can't bend down to sort out shoe laces, etc., but they also have good grip on our laminate and tiled floors which means I fall less often when I'm wearing them. I needed some new ones and by chance I spotted some in Poundland last week, in the children's section, for £3.99. It's very handy having small feet! I bought the size 3 even though they're actually a bit big for me. They only had blue, but it was a nice shade of blue.
When I got them home I thought about jazzing them up with some Crocs charms. When I searched online I couldn't find much that I liked, but then I spotted the blanks and thought I'd make some of my own. So in this video my clogs get a celestial themed make over and I can't tell you how happy the finished result makes me!
Materials used:
- Polyurethane resin by MB Fibreglass - a super fast curing resin that dries white
- Silver white mica powder
- Celestial themed silicone mould
- I cleaned up the edges with a resin deburring tool
- Crocs charms blanks, I used the clear ones
- UV resin to attach the charms to the blanks, which I spot cured with my little torch them gave them 9 minutes under my nail lamp

I love this! I’m chronically ill and have resisted the chocs forever but I now want to make witchy charms for a pair of black chocs 😂 What have you done? Hahaha

I resisted for years as well, but they're a totally essential part of my life now. The charms help you to put your own personal stamp on them. I'm very tempted by the little shoe headlights you can buy for them! LOL

How unusual, I've never seen shoe charms before. They look good! I like wearing crocs when decorating, doesn't matter if paint gets on them 😸 PS. Sorry about your boiler issues.

I love my crocs, either real or dupes. They're so comfortable, easy to get on and off and they grip well which is important for me. I love these even more now that I have my fun charms on them! I'm glad that the boiler is fixed but now our shower pump is dead thanks to some serious power fluctuations last week. We had a couple of brief power cuts then the voltage into our house dropped down to 160 volts for a while, so it caused us a ton of issues. Nightmare!

I have a few (fake) crocs pairs myself but I never thought I could make my own charms, now I want a celestial pair too. After all, under the right circumstances, crocs are heavenly! 🤪

I resisted crocs for so long but they're just so damn comfortable and easy and as me and my joints get older, I value that more than style! The charms make me smile every time I look down at my feet :D
