Awwww I little slice of heaven that song ... this was from an album produced ( in part ) by Quincy Jones showcasing music from Italian composer Ennio Morricone . Morricone wrote numerous film score and other genres. "I knew I loved you" was called simply "Deborah's Theme" in the film Once Upon a Time in America. Quincy Jones asked Alan and Merilyn Bergman to write lyrics for Céline to sing on this tribute album. And what a gift ... music by Morricone, Lyrics by the Bergmans and vocal by the formidable Céline Glad you enjoyed.

All due respect to you and other reactions, but it seems to me is not only the emotion and passion she puts into her songs, it's the passion and emotions she invokes. The prayer, Oh Holy night, God Bless America and, yes, I knew I loved you resonates with her fans, Almost a matching frequency, perhaps. The emotion seems to get short shrift in these reactions. Just an observation, not a criticism.
