I really have no concerns about Milwaukee. We saw how Jrue clamped down on Kyrie...pretty sure he will do the same to Dame. The Celtics will use the same strategy they usually use, which is try to make Giannis work and clamp down on everyone else. Matchup doesn't really favor Milwaukee even with everyone healthy. It will be the same story as Dallas. The Bucks will have the best player, the Celtics will have the best team...and basketball is a team sport.
@CelticsBirdsUnited975 ай бұрын
There is no team in the East that can beat us as presently constructed. Out West, a team I'm wary of other than the obvious Nuggets threat is OKC especially because we don't have a physical rebounding big man which is their weakness
@aesirgaming10145 ай бұрын
As a Celtics fan, I think the strength of Boston is its ability to absorb injuries due to having multiple guys. Everyone said "Boston needs KP to win the Finals", but KP was injured for most of the Finals and Boston still won convincingly. This team has so much talent that's spread out across so many players that they can afford an injury and still be a great team. It's also hard to gameplan for Boston. They don't have one clear cut #1 guy that you can home in on (as Boston did to Luka). If you throw everything at Tatum, Brown will go off. If Brown and Tatum are both smothered, then Jrue or KP or even Old Man Al will step up to deliver. Add into that some roleplayers with confidence (how many teams would let a guy in Pritchard's position take a half-court shot like that?) and this is a team that's hard to beat and hard to plan for.

I think after their performance against Dallas, which wasnt even their best by shooting efficiency and scoring standards, Boston certainly should have the stand alone best odds for winning this next year's title. This team is/was built to repeat, and the East is in flux
@Papa_Static5 ай бұрын
Boston's more underrated skill that they have over almost every other team is health. Knock on wood, but outside of Porzingus none of the top 8 guys ever miss. Al sits, but it's management rather than him actually being hurt. Contrast that with Denver or Milwaukee where Jamal is hurt often enough and Giannis has missed the last 2 postseasons because of injury.

well there ya go, if nick wright said no repeat i guess we can mark it down that the celtics will go back to back now..... lol

Why doesn’t the nuggets easy road to the ring get talked about? The media just out here coddling Jokic
@maroonporsche5 ай бұрын
When Murray threw the ice pack some of the media turned on them and brought how none of the teams they beat in the 23 run won 50 games.
@MeBihhhh5 ай бұрын
@@maroonporsche that is true but the reason they don’t talk about is is because they hype up the west as world beaters 2 play in teams and 2 injured teams is who the nuggets had to vs last yr. Honestly easier than the Celtics who had a comically easy schedule as well

0-5 series record against 50 win teams
@vitreo13635 ай бұрын
The easy road they should be talking about is the Mavs -oldest team in the league (LAC) > 2nd youngest team in the league (OKC) > inexperienced team that spent all their energy to beat the champs (MIN). BTW, it's funny that the regular season doesn't matter when talking about BOS' 60+ wins, but it matters when their opponents don't reach 50 in the same regular season…

I love how ppl say the Celtics had an easy road Mitchell played and got “hurt” I think he gave up and didn’t want to put the effort in to get back in the series. Pacers fell 3-0 and Halliburton gave up with his so called Injury wasn’t the Celtics fault teams gave up.

Even with those guys not injured, those are some pretty bad teams lol those teams that should be get ting laughed out of the first round
@kylelittle88165 ай бұрын
@Bobbleheads56 yea and I don't think I've heard anyone else say those teams gave up! It's just how bad they are without their "best" player.. and Indiana didn't go down 3-0 and Tyrese got hurt... he got hurt in game 3 if I'm right, then they lost and lost again when he didn't play in game four.. and for anyone saying those teams had given up then I think it's bad they lost a game to 2 different teams with such bad players.
