Fun fact about Mr. T in this movie - he brought his mother to the theater to see it and she got so upset at the way he talked to Adrian, she stormed out of the theater and didn't watch the rest of the movie. He tried to explain that it was just acting and she maintained that you don't talk to a woman with such disrespect, even if it IS 'acting'. In real life, he was a very good man who did a TON of charity work.

People focus on a lot of the over the top aspects of this movie but even here, Stallone kills it in the emotional moments and little monologues. Rewatching these films (and First Blood) reminded me how actually underrated he is in a serious, dramatic role.

I'm so glad you recognized how far Adrian has come from her pet shop days. She's Rocky's rock and he needs her to keep him going. Her arc is the most dramatic of all the characters in the movie franchise and Talia Shire was perfect for the role. It's great watching you watch these with such passion and being so invested in the characters and movie. I do hope you continue with the series. It's always a joy watching your reactions. 😊

Yes, Stallone looked way different this movie because according to google: “During Rocky 3, Sly lost 30lbs in 10 months, dropping his body fat from 14% to 2.9%.” Not probably the healthiest thing to do, but he really did look good. It’s definitely hard to pick a favorite rocky movie - they are all good in their own right. But eye of the tiger really raises this one for me lol

The strange timing at the beginning of Eye of the Tiger is due to the song being written to fit the film’s montage. The song’s name even came from the film. The song hadn’t been written yet when Apollo said ‘Eye of the Tiger’ in the second act.

Good Reaction :^) ... Originally Stallone wanted "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen as the theme song, but for whatever reason Queen wouldn't let him use their song. So Stallone comissioned Survivor to create "Eye of the Tiger", the band was inspired by a rough cut of the first 10 minutes of Rocky 3. The rest is music and movie history.

"Eye of the Tiger" (believe it or not) was originally written for the very 1st Karate Kid movie but Stallone was interested in the song as well, so it turned into a bidding war for the song. And with the profits from the previous 2 movies......the Rocky Franchise had a bigger budget & deeper pockets so Rocky III won the rights to the song & Karate Kid got "You're the Best Around"

Centane , the actor who plays paulie was a real professional boxer and the guy who played thunder lips is WWE hall of famer and wrestling icon/god hulk hogan who became friends with Mr.T who played clubber lang and when Mr.T whose actually 1 of the of the sweetest people in the world starred on a tv show called the A-Team hogan did 2 episodes and Mr.T wrestled with hogan in the 1st 2 wrestlemania

Great movie.. I heard Mr T mother who saw the movie didn't like how Mr T talked to Adrian in the movie and walked out of the cinema. I like the scene where Adrian talk to Rocky on the beach and help him face his fear. the next movie the best in the series in my opinion and the most successful of the franchise. Also fyi I think Mr T was Stallone Body Guard in real life. I love. Did you know that that song "You're the Best" from the Karate Kid was suppose to be the theme for this movie but they went with the song Eye of Tiger.

Mick's real name is Burgess Meredith and he was a treasure, with a career spanning about 60 years from the mid 1930s to 1995. He's now most famous for his role in the Rocky movies but he also played a hilarious role in Grumpy Old Men (1993) and the sequel, Grumpier Old Men (1995). I highly recommend watching these underrated gems. Few remember a lot of his early movies because most people weren't even alive when those movies debuted. He was excellent in the classic film Of Mice and Men and also played the Penguin in the original Batman movie back in the 60s.

My favorite Rocky movie. I love how Rocky has to regain his fire, his "eye of the tiger" & even trains with skill & technique instead of just brawling. Eye of the Tiger, too! Classic song. And Mr. T chewing scenery is always fun to watch. Even Adrian's best speech to Rocky is in this one. But best of all is Apollo becoming Rocky's trainer & friend after being rivals.

Ok. We all feel sad for Mickey dying. But Clubber did not kill Mickey. You're doing too much there. Mickey was already dying. He nearly had a heart attack during the exhibition bout with Thunder Lips (Hulk Hogan should've just kept that name 😂). Sooner or later, something was going to send Mickey over the edge. This is why they showed Mickey having the near episode in the beginning. It was imminent. It could've happened at any time. I'm not even going to explain that he shouldn't have been perking his fragile self up there against Clubber in the first place. That wasn't his place. All I'm saying is for dramatic effect this is the incident where he finally had the inevitable heart attack. Clubber didn't beat him into it nor did he murder him. Keep perspective. 🙂

He was on in the 80's action TV show called "The A-Team". He also had his own cereal.😱Thunder Lips is Hulk Hogan, a former WWF/WWE wrestler. This film and Rocky IV are really big event Rocky films. Good movie and I love the sing Eye of the Tiger. As a 80's kid it's hilarious to see wrestler Hulk Hogan and Mr-T from the show A-Team. He did a great job as the scary Clubber Lang. Rocky 3 was the moment where Adrian took center stage and showed what a REAL champion is all about. It is about putting aside the fear, the worry, the heartache, the guilt and the doubt.... just to get into the mix and say "I gave it my all, win or lose, I know that I gave it everything I had to give. And THAT is why I won at the end of the match, regardless of what others say who won. I know that I did everything I was able to do, and will FOREVER hold my head up high that I did it." So, Rocky 1: Being taken serious. Rocky 2: Winning. Rocky 3: Adrian displaying champion characteristics to follow.

Your right Burgess Meredith was also brought back in Rocky 5 dream sequence and flash backs. He was memorable as Grandpa Gustafson in the Grumpy Old Men films. Sadly Burgess Meredith had dealing with Alzheimer’s by time did Grumpy Old Men and during Grumpier Old men had to have lines read to him by earpiece and died 2 years after the 2nd film was released which was 1995 and he died from Alzheimer’s and Melanoma in 1997.

4 is also good Stallone damn near got himself killed on this one, he didn't choreograph the first 2 rounds of the fight on purpose, he wanted Dolph and himself to appear to be feeling each other out. Dolph hit him a few ribshots so hard, he cracked ribs and punctured a lung or organ!

During many years, I considered the introduction of this movie as the best of the whole cinema history. The way how they connect the ending of Rocky II with the celebration of a triumphal career of Rocky as champion of the world, played along with *Eye of the Tiger* song is simply spectacular.

I highly request you guys to watch R.R.R ( Rise Roar Revolt) movie. It came out of INDIA in 2022. **It has WON a GOLDEN GLOBE AND OSCAR. It has also won 5 HCA (Hollywood critics Association) awards and 26 different filmfestival awards.** It is the first non English movie on Netflix that was on top trending list for 16 consecutive weeks in 62 countries. JAMES cameron beacame FANBOY of the movie. **Don't get afraid by 3hr runtime. It will pass like blink of an eye ** THANK YOU SISTER.

Sylvester Stallone said that the difference between the Rocky franchise that worked, where other boxing movies failed, is that he didn't write a movie about a boxer. He wrote a love story about a husband and a father, who just happened to be a boxer. That is the secret that Stallone says made his boxing movies work, where others didn't.
