When I was little they never had movies as interesting as this. This was my favorite book growing up. To actually see the Cat In The Hat on the screen would have been awesome. My Grandchildren love this movie and so do I.

Cat in the Hat & many Dr Suess books are rhyming books for young kids like for bedtime stories. Read Green Eggs & Ham out loud for the added a tongue twisting element. That might be fun to watch you do for the 1st time on the channel.😊 Not sure what the copyright rules are for that, but best reaction excerpts might be fun.

Love this movie and your reaction to it. The other GREAT Dr. Seuiss movie is How the Grinch Stole Christmas, which would be a great follow up to this movie. I raised my kids and helped teach them to read with Dr. Seuiss, Rudyard Kipling, Uncle Remus, Bible stories, Mark Twain's Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer, Grimm fairy tales. So sad that many of these classics jave fallen victim to current day insanity.

Much recommend the cartoon version (circa 60s) and read the book to your future children, if you want them to learn english. Very phonetic reading, basically Ted makes up alot of words for ryme.

I found this movie and the live version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas to be too nasty and with less of the childlike innocence of the original cartoons. Sad because both Mike Meyers and Jim Carey can be good actors.

i get they did not care about adult jokes in pg movies back then but man this movie crossed the line this film had like 30 adult jokes in under a hour lmao the grinch only made like 5 dirty adult jokes and even allowed one curse word it was still funny but this film was legit a tragic event i think the writers truly did not understand cat in the hat when they read the book cause this movie is fucked up in many different ways like the story is so basic how do you mess it up its a film about a 6 ft tall humanoid cat that runs in on 2 kids and wants them to have fun they did that but it could have been done better in my opinion i mean for 2003 the writers needed to have some class now we cant get anymore live action films thanks to this we were going to get a sequel but universal blocked it off due to a contract dr suesses wife made with them she hated the movie so much that she made a contract where they will no longer make any more live action adaptions
