wish I had seen this when this happened to me 6 weeks ago , it was early morning and I was not seen until about 8pm later that same day , by that time the permanent damage had been done , only now have very limited blanked and small tunnel vision in that eye , not enough to even see a complete face of a person only their nose or eyes depending on where i look , just glad it was only the one eye (fingers crossed) no prior warning just woke up that morning with total vision loss and zero pain . if any one reads this and it happens to you time is of the essence to see an MD , if you can take a dose of 3 75mg Aspirin tablets while you seek assistance

uptowndisco2 I’m so sorry for what had happened to you. I was brought to this clip for my mom. She lost her vision right before or after her Cataract surgery and none of us(including her) realised it till a month after her post-operation follow up. A lot of the Doctors we’ve seen says it’s a permanent damage but I’m still hopeful. Planning to seek second opinion from a different clinic.

My UWORLD question just said to use ocular massage and high flow oxygen. Ugh.. what to believe?!

Both are done at the same time if oxygen is available. And Intraarterial thrombolytics can also be given within 4-6 hrs of vision loss. but these are less effective than Oculkar message and High flow Oxygen.

I have thus in my right eye, I'm 35. I had an undiagnosed blood clotting disorder and after a round of birth control, I had this type of blockage. I now get injections and those aren't so bad. But, Holy crap, those massages aren't always nice.

Hmm, I don't think the floaters started until I started the injections, and I now have frequent floaters. I've had this condition for a year now, but I do remember that the whole thing started with blurry vision even while wearing my glasses, and I had dark peripherals. There wasn’t much else that told me something was wrong, so I didn't think it was as serious as it was and still is.

Oh wow sorry to hear that hope you doing better. I just started having migranes like 2 months ago and a week ago I started having eye floaters but thats pretty much all I have I was wondering
