I agree with you entirely and the chain of addiction will continue until we all stand together and help these people when they need it most, it breaks my heart listening to how some talk of addicts calling them animals who deserve no chance at a happy life and I’ll be damned if this is something prevalent as I grow older, I grew up with addiction all over my town and it’s done nothing but get worse! We’re all humans and we all deserve the chance to pursue happiness and a peaceful life especially when many of those people addicted or homeless have never truly felt love when that’s all they ever have desired in life! God bless you Andy one day I hope to work with your orginazation and countless others to help end the poverty in our country in order to end the pain and sadness that holds many back in their pursuit of a even semi-normal life, keep the fight going sir you have my respect not many will leave their normal lives to even just one night see the lives of those affected by greed and inactivity that has hurt so many for years. Let’s end poverty together it’s not a one sided battle it’s one we all must wage war upon and one we must all spread love not more pain!

I tried to impress on my sons one basic idea. That people can be smart or stupid, weak or strong, young or old, beautiful or ugly, skilled or unskilled, educated or uneducated. But I said that there really are only two types of people in the world. People with money, and people without. This society and many countries value money. It is the means to all ends. I also impressed on m sons to get an education in the area that they really like a lot. I don't expect them to love it passionately. But I want them to really like what they study in hope that they will then like doing it for a living. It helps to like your life. It helps to explain to children that they may be doing something for a long time until they can afford to stop working. And it really helps to really enjoy the work. I feel we do our children a disservice (naively) if they pursue an education simply to make a lot of money. I did explain that money is a tool like a wrench or a hammer. You need it to get something else, done or bought. But I never said they need X or Y dollars by such and such an age. Money can't be the goal. Nor can "Happiness". Too cynical in the first case, and too frivolous in the latter case. I asked my one son how he would fix homelessness. He couldn't answer. But I have an example. You see, their mother came here to America from Eastern Europe and all of her family there is very poor. So for various reasons, some quite selfish on my behalf too, I bought a small older villa near her hometown with a quarter acre of land. It cost about as much as a midsize care. So no, I am not wealthy. But I felt when I had got to a point where I did not need to worry this year about money, that I was o.k. enough to extend the benefit of my luck and work and savings, and yes inheritance too. And her sister lives there now. And she covers all the expenses. And she works the land and has a small shop in town. And it is a continuation of the traditional life of living off the land that the Eastern European People came from, living in small villages, agricultural life. So my money is doing more than buying me a Summer place to hang out and ride my mountain bike around the dusty trails of the villa zone of the town of Sliven, BG. And even though my wife and I are now not married anymore. I feel that I still have some kind of tie to them there and the place, tenuous though it may be.

He looks like his pockets are full of money wearing that leather jacket and dressed fully in high end clothing. The sad thing is I read that he can no longer walk properly because walking up and down the skid row areas a few times while handing out water and stuff like that he had some kind of blister on his feet from some marathon that he ran and that blister got infected from the crap on the streets of skid row. I guess he went home and walked inside his home with those same shoes and then after taking his shoes off he called on that same contaminated areas in his home and he caught 3 different types of bacterial infections. Staph, EColi, and some other thing and he's in a wheel chair now and they might be cutting his legs off soon. Crazy shit that in this video he is walking but now after a few years these save walks down skid row is what led to him catching the bacterial infections and kissing his ability to walk and possibly losing both his legs.

He made the flesh eating foot story up so to be seen as a martyr. Best donation ploy, since that fellow on the cross.

Mike Matthew's you don't know the truth about these homeless people. You sit in comfort and read but you don't know their story. Everybody isn't a drug addict nor lazy nor an alcoholic. I know... because I know some of them. I have rescued a few.. directed them to get help. God showed me favor to help them. Mike Matthew you have not enough compassion for others.. nor life experience. Do yourself a favor.. just watch. Learn to be quiet and you won't be pointed out as a heartless unlearned man.

Please the local government should be issuing lucid homeless who can drive, at least a vehicle - to keep their stuff in. Yes the vehicles will have to be maintained and a weekly gas supply to be given... so there's that... The vehicle solution is much cheaper than building shelters - aka Slums.... People don't want them in their neighborhoods.... this is why they are not built. Just the bug situation - bedbugs and cockroaches, would be repulsive. Buildings are a 20th century solution. Plus the cost of a 1.5 million dollar roach-infested building is unreasonable - just to shelter, say 25 people.

“Lucid homeless!” Stop it, you’re killing me! Your ideas are stupid, but you already know that. The government makes billions off of these people. And wouldn’t want it any other way.

When there are people like Bill Gates who make more money taking a shit then i do in a year hands down... there should be way more resources given to the destitute! Why should one person have so much and so many have so little.. it should be illegal to have so much money you couldn't even spend it if you tried!

Class envy has gotten you nowhere. Bill Gates and others like him have created more millionaires than the government you hope will confiscate his wealth - could even imagine, let alone produce. The good Reverend has created nothing more than a trail of tears! As he collects checks from the people you consider bandits and thieves! Grow up!

In the EU with 24.000$ people have a good life including holidays, education, 2 years unemployment support and complete health care and retirement pension. If with 120.000$ they are poor in the usa , is their fault: they have a corrupted social and politicsl system that kills its own people and they are proud of it, trying to spread it out in all the world. Than sink proudly! In the Eu this was possible from 1960s to 2020, now we are having issues because all the world is turning into an immense Detroit, thanks US. Hydration 1 liter at the hospital costs 1 euros, in usa 1000 $. There are no reasons for these overprices and when they blame china, that is just an excuse to cover up their own idiotic capitalistic system that puts in poverty 3/4 of the white population leaving 42% of their children surviving on food vouchers. My mum was a single mum with teacher salary. I have 3 masters and a bachelor in top universities and I had some surgeries as well: I HAVE ZERO DEBTS. If it is possible in EU why not in USA?
