Hi doctor. My daughter has a severe acne on her cheeks with whiteheads blackheads and pus pimples. She is treating them with benzoyl peroxide twice a day as well as the cerave sa renewing cream. In Ontario Canada we do not have adapalene or differen over the counter. Can you recommend something else that she can be using if she needs anything else at all? Try the Laroche posay effaclar range. They also have a skin assessor online. It takes pictures of your skin then recommends a rountine in their skin care. That is how my skin cleared up. However, our skin types may be different and what works for me, may not work for you.

Many things can be predisposing you to acne. Stress, hormonal imbalance, wrong products that clog the pores even diets with high glycemic index. Some birth control pills have been shown to cause acne rather help to clear them

@@daniellejonas4330 they are both good serums but can be irritating for some. The peeling solution should be used very sparingly if you have dark skin. The niacinamide serum by the ordinary irritated my skin so much and I had to discontinue it. But it worked for others. Add them gradually and if you experience any issues u can take them out.
