I actually did my research on ingredients and as cerave says they keep updating ingredients list, > The European cleanser has it's salicylic acid on 16 while us one on 17. >the US one has glycerin on 3rd while European one on fourth > the US cleanser has slightly stronger foaming agent in it as compared to the European one. Otherwise both are gentle > both have niacinamide on 5th. > European one has a lil more hyaluronic acid than us one. > European one has enlisted ceramides 1 no before the us ones so it means slightly more. > in the us it's sa renewing cleanser while in UK n Europe it's smoothing cleanser.

I use the hydrating cleanser also. The SA cleanser will exfoliate so use it at night when you feel like a good deep down cleanse. Then follow up with the hyluronic acid when skin is wet. Don’t be shy with it. Not sure of your routine but if you just moisturize after this you can mix your hyluronic acid and your moisturizer together and apply on wet skin. Then a facial oil or a balm used next. All over face neck chest. Josie Maran Argan Infinity is very good a little goes a long way and has beautiful results!

*one should know that there is less that 0.5% SA in this cleanser. There is very little of the active ingredient but that is why it's effective. It's meant for daily use and so the results over time are quite impressive. Please be careful suing Vit C with this cleanser as it may cause L-Ascorbic acid to oxidize on the skin, whick leads to darkened sebaceous filaments. It's best to not use SA or other AHA or BHA before vit c for this reason* hope this helps.

What you’ve been saying about glycolic acid and salicylic acid is the complete opposite to every other educational source online. I have always researched and heard that salicylic acid penetrates deeper BECAUSE it is oil soluble, which makes sense since our pores and face have oil in them. Glycolic acid and other AHAs are more gentle because they are only water soluble, which prevents them from going deep into the pores.
@SamMKKK3 жыл бұрын
Well if you think about it, since oil concentrates most at the topmost layers of the skin, it makes sense that salicylic acid will remain at those superficial layers. Glycolic acid being both more acidic, water soluble, and molecularly smaller thus allows it to penetrate through that and other non-superficial layers, according to Dr Dray.

Which makes me think they are using the inclusion of SA to sell more product. How does this cleanser compare to La Roche Possay Effaclar Medicated gel cleanser with 2.5% SA?
@gavfish83732 жыл бұрын
I know this comment is old but basically I think this has 2% SA in it which is why the acid is low on the ingredient list. I’m pretty sure if the SA was first on the ingredients it would burn your face off 😭

kinda proud of myself, this is the first product i've picked up by myself since getting into skincare and ingredients. It sounds like a great alternative to my holiforg superior omega gel wash, which I absolutely love it but its $36 and i don't wanna use that twice a day. I wasn't aware it already had niacinamide in it, would it be overkill to use my Ordinary niacinamide 10% with this? I'm fighting against super deep acne scars, texture, and fine lines, and breakouts on my chin and neck area. (whiteheads and cyst) I also use the paula's choice 2% BHA, which i adore, along with cerve moisturizer. How do I know if i'm exfoliating my skin too much when it comes to chemical exfoliators? Guess I'll try and see lol! Can't be worse than that time I was a teenager and tried exfoliating my skin with sugar and half a bottle of lemon extract lol.

Can you talk about double cleansing? I just started using Tamanu oil to remove makeup and oils and then rinse with a cleanser. It’s worked so well for me! I have rosacea so even gentle cleansers can irritate me but doing the double cleansing really helps.

So happy I have found you…great job!!! Question…would you please do a video on how to use daily products, like what order? I have never found someone who is as through as you …I’m overwhelmed with the order of products and what do I apply first? Morning and at bedtime. Do I put Vit C first…then moisturizer, then concealer, then sunscreen…see….I’m so confused. I am an older person….but I think we all would like to know from a professional how to apply all of these products. I would so appreciate your advice. Thank you very much.

I have a few questions: can I use this daily? Can I follow it w the ordinary niacinamind acid serum, cera ve moisturiser and sunscreen? or is that too much?
@dundada37533 жыл бұрын
- You can use it daily if your skin reacts to it nicely. Slowly build it into your routine, then you can eventually use it everyday if your skin is fine. - You can use it with niacinamide

I started using this cleanser a few weeks ago. Absolutely love it. My skin was clearing up. But this week my skin has gotten so dry & flaky. Not sure if that is normal and it'll stop after my skin gets used to it or not. I was also wondering if the SA can cause your skin to purge?
@rainbowpotato4533 жыл бұрын
Yes, product that contain aha/bha/retinol sometimes can cause you purging. Maybe you can start with just use it for your morning cleanser and use the gentle cleanser at night. Don't forget to moisturize your skin and wearing sunscreen!

I’ve been using this product for under 1 week and wasn’t really thinking too much about it - then I woke up today and felt my arms (I get rough bumps all over the tops of my arms) and they are so soft?? They’ve never felt soft 😂 It must be this product because I’m not doing anything different. My face also feels super smooth. Definitely recommend - I use it with the face moisturiser after.

What would you recommend as an alternative for skin that is prone to redness? I have been using a salicylic acid cleanser and it never occurred to me that it may be causing the redness on and around my nose.
@Jezebel0663 жыл бұрын
Not sure about an exfoliator, but I’ve heard good things about aveeno ultra calming cream cleanser. For redness. I use cetaphil redness relieving daily moisturizer as an indoor sunscreen bc I get red & blotchy sometimes & it works so well in reducing it. It has a tint to it so I use it instead of makeup.
