I LOVE the SA renewing cream. It's phenomenal. Even though it's 3% SA, I can still put it on nightly with zero irritation. Super soft skin, no bumps, no acne and really has smoothed out fine lines. It also has niacinamide (unlike the lotion). Appearance of my pores have totally shrunk and the blackheads on my nose are finally almost invisible. Skin needs change throughout life (I'm 42), and I have been so thankful for CeraVe the past few years.

@@ginacolvin3185 Hi. Tx 4 responding! I think its the body's way of getting rid of toxins, now that u've changed ure eating habits. Have u also increased ure water intake? That should also help with flushing out the toxins as well. Ive noticed too that i always experience a breakout along my jawline and neck area about 2 days afta having a good laser facial. Thats normal since the laser is designed to bring the gunk to the surface of my skin. I had very oily skin and acne as a teenager. My skin is normal now but i use anti-aging skincare lines. Cerave has bcome so popular on UTube that i really want to try the range - both the SA range for breakouts and also the foaming cleanser for when i dont have breakouts. I don't want to chance drying out my skin too much. I want to try the series of Vitamin serums too, but as i say, here in South Africa we don't have a large range to choose from. So online it will have to be, with massive delivery costs!!! So will try the 2 SA products first, and if im happy with them, i will consider purchasing the serums and facial creams online. Regards from sunny South Africa 🌞 Still in lockdown, but on Level 2 at least....

Hey there, I know I'm imposing for giving you tips, but if you are to use this cleanser, it's best to use it at night. I have very oily and acne prone skin, I use it nightly, and I don't cleanse at all some days in the morning. If your skin is dry, and feels okay when you wake up (as in not greasy), you can just splash your face with water, and use your moisturizer while your skin is still damp (in order to prevent trans-epidermal water loss). I also really recommend having two cleansers. I have this Cerave cleanser, and a hydrating hyaluronic acid cleanser. I alternate between the two depending on how my skin feels (like I use the hydrating one on some nights when it feels dry, or in the morning when it feels oily). I think using a salicylic acid cleanser twice a day is too much, and would in fact dry out your skin. I also really recommend you to check DR. Dray's channel, she is a dermatologist here on youtube who makes really helpful and educational videos, and often recommends affordable products (she actually really doesn't like overpriced stuff).

Somnolent verve hey!! Thank you so much for your advice, I only just saw your comment so my apologies for the late reply. I recently changed my routine, I bought two facial cleansers (which is what you recommended in the paragraph you wrote me so I’m happy I made that choice). One of them is the CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser which is what I use in the morning and the other cleanser is the CeraVe foaming cleanser which is what I use at night and I love it! My skin looks and feels a lot better however I still do have breakouts but I know I have to give the products time to work plus, I’ve only been using the products for 3 days so I can’t expect a drastic change haha! I’m planning on trying the SA cleanser by CeraVe as well to see if it helps to improve my breakouts so thank you for giving me some information on that product because if I do try it I won’t use it regularly like you said since I do have dry to oily skin! I recently bought SA rough and bumpy cream and it broke me out when I used it on my face for about a week and unfortunately it was very drying and not moisturising at all however, I do use it on my lower back since I have keatrosis pilaris ( or however you spell it) and it’s helped. I do also watch Dr Drays channel as well as Hyram, James Welsh, Cassandra Banks and a few others! Thank you once again for your comment, it was very helpful :)

According to Dr. Dray, the SA cream shouldn’t be applied to the face since it contains ammonium lactate. A google search also confirmed this. She was like “no way would I put this on my face”. Just wanted to share what I heard

Hey! Yes I understand your frustration but when this launched here in the UK, the CeraVe website and also online retailers labelled the directions as can be used on face and body. So with that, It’s totally up to you. I’m not saying Dr Dray is wrong but it’s difficult to fully know when the manufacturer is stating otherwise. It is very very thick so if you aren’t dry skin then small amounts and only at night would be my suggestion xx

Yeah hopefully that’ll work but if your skin becomes irritated and inflamed and starts coming out in rash like bumps then stop using it all together. Hopefully it works for you but if it doesn’t, don’t let it dishearten you. There’s plenty of other great SA products out there! 💕

You are not the only one. I had the exactly same results. At first I thought it was purging but it continued after the first month. Closed comedones (the small bumps) started coming out all over my skin. I don't know why, maybe my skin doesn't like some ingredient used in CeraVe (my skin didn't like the moisturising lotion as well).

I´d always had AMAZING perfect skin. But then, I got hypothyroidism and it went very quickly downhill. My skin got completely dehydrated, patchy, textured, signs of rossacea... by using products to keep moisture in, I got malazzesia on my forehead, at times I break out.... A bloody mess!!! I really have tried a lot of products that didn´t work at all and now I have bunch to target the different concerns. Cleansers are tricky, if they are gentle enough for my cheeks, they leave an oily mess on the forehead and nose.I was super reluctant to try Ceravé´s SA cleanser but after watching your video, I decided to give it a try. Can magic happen overnight?? Yes!! Magic happened overnight!!! After only one use, I saw a difference both on my forehead and nose and no drying effect on my cheeks. This cleanser is absolutely amazing!!! By the way, I love your accent, your channel, your in-depth reviews and that you´re in UK, so the majority of products you recommend are to be found in continental Europe. I´ll keep on watching!!!!

I would use the SA cleanser because it's gentle and removes excess oil and should help with the bumpy skin. The lotion is super good for those with eczema, too!

Hey, a stinging effect directly after applying an AHA/BHA product (SA) is normal. If the stinging doesn't disappear after 5 minutes, you should try to get your face used to the acid by mixing the moisturizer with another product. You could use an oil or Squalan. :)

@AdamRobertLamb
@AdamRobertLamb 4 жыл бұрын
Amy Fletcher Hey! That is the same as my skin. Either my forehead or my mouth get the full force of breakouts. I’ve used the hydrating cleanser and I find this to be perfect for the colder months as it really gives you that added hydration kick your skin needs. You said your skin is normal so it should be totally fine with the foaming effect the SA cleanser has. Start off using it in the evening and if your skin is happy, try it in the AM as well. It’s totally up to you. I personally use this only in the evening and then go in with a more gentle delicate cleanser in the morning (like the hydrating cleanser). Hope this helps and let me know how you get on with it :)
