It is just me, or when he said Lithuania I heard most ovations?

Lithuania ovations where the loudest. While Bulgaria and Slovenia were the lowest. I guess Lithuania is the most appreciated country by the USA of the ones mentioned in the video.

I think it was more of a social phenomena of a crowd in that each successive mention got more and more ovation than the last.

Who here in 2023 after Finland Joined and Sweden is one country away from approval?
@USStateOfSiberiaGHWBush19928 ай бұрын
At first, I assumed that the reason Putin threatened Ukraine if they join NATO, was because of how far east Ukraine extends. With that presumption, I imagined the amount of tension by Russia against Turkey being a NATO member. And Google has been good luck for me finding surprisingly search results. Which is why just for the heck of it, I searched for any posts about Ukraine ever wanting to join NATO, past or present. I wasn't expecting it, but for me, positive search results on Google had become predictably unpredictable. Then I went further and searched if Georgia wanted to join NATO. All this, before the war in Ukraine in 2014 even began. Thanks to Google, I got sort of a head start in knowledge of the very increasing tensions that later escalated into a war by Russia. In Ukraine and in Georgia. Fortunately not in Finland or Sweden, despite the threats by Russia, which I also thanks to Google, I learned about before 2014. But because of the length of Finland's border with Russia, I never thought Finland was going to join NATO. In my opinion in the time being, it would be too good to be true for Finland to become a NATO member against Russia in any event of a war by Russia. Same about Ukraine. Also because of the size in area of Ukraine. And because of how far east it is from the west coast and how far east along Russia it extends. And Georgia, not only because of how far east it is, but also for a NATO member as far from the west coast as Georgia is. And another significant reason IMO being: Because Georgia is rather on the east side of the Black Sea. It was then that I finally figured out that ANY European country would qualify for NATO membership. The only other limits are the political relations. Such as Belarus. Not to mention- Russia. Now, according to recent Google search results, Azerbaijan doesn't want to join NATO, but Armenia is considering joining NATO. Because although Russia is one of Armenia's allies, Armenia is strongly dissatisfied with Russia's poor/weak economic ties with Russia, against what Russia promised for Armenia. And now Armenia is considering joining Western Allies economically, as well as considering joining NATO. As for Moldova, although they don't want to join NATO, Romania is considering a deal with Moldova IF Moldova agrees to reunification with Romania. Kosovo wants to join NATO, but of course Serbia doesn't. Because Serbia is communist and has more ties with Russia which would have to be cut, before Serbia could even join NATO. And of course Serbia refuses to recognize Kosovo's independence. So NATO membership for Kosovo without a war by Serbia would be unlikely. Bosnia and Herzegovina also wants to join NATO and will likely be the next country to join NATO. Ireland, Switzerland and Austria want to stay neutral. Ireland wants no alliance in common with the UK that would allow anytime UK military training in Ireland. Switzerland wants to remain neutral, simply to maintain Swiss peace and never becoming a target of a nemesis of any ally/Union, nor ever have to fight for or aid another country and lose Swiss troops and money. Austria wants to stay neutral, as part of a deal made during the Russian era (1992-present) that the Russian troops that kept Austria communist since the end of WW2 would only leave Austria on the condition that Austria agreed to remain neutral forever. It's most commonly that the reason why very small European countries do not want to join NATO is because their small sizes in land area would make them easy targets to defeat in any event of a war between NATO and for example, Russia. And because of their lower economies, the small difference they could make as NATO members would be so small, it wouldn't be worth either the cost of 2% of their annual Gross Domestic Product, or the risk for an easy defeat by the enemy, due to their own small sizes in land area. I don't know why Azerbaijan doesn't want to join NATO. Perhaps Azerbaijan has too many ties with Russia not worth ending.
